After unpacking, the egg crate foam did not come back into shape. There's a crease down the center and one side is almost flat compared to the other. This is after 2 days of waiting for it to return to shape. The bolster is even worse. It's lumpy and hard as rock. It feels like the foam that's used in the base of flower arrangements, not soft at all. I wouldn't even give this one star. It's not worth whatever price they are charging.

Picked up the Orthopedic Bolster Dog Bed for my energetic furball, who tips the scales at 80 pounds. Out of the box, I thought it looked a tad snug and the foam didn't quite have the heft I expected. But the material? Super soft to the touch, with a cover that zips off effortlessly for those inevitable wash days. The non-slip underside is a thoughtful perk, too. Now, it might seem a bit compact, yet my girl manages to tuck herself into a cozy ball on it. When she's elsewhere, the cats claim it as their plush throne. I do wish the foam had a bit more oomph to it — beefier padding would make it ideal. For those with lighter pups, say 60 pounds or so, it'd likely be the dream bed.

This dog bed came with a removable cover, which was nice so that you can wash it. The batting that goes in the arm part of the dog bed was a little difficult to get into the zipper part smoothly. As you can see in the picture above, even after several attempts it still appeared very lumpy. The dog bed is soft and my dog likes it however, for an extra large size it is smaller than expected. It’s about 2/3 the size of another extra large dog bed that we have. The material itself is very soft like a crushed velvet, and the bottom has anti-slip dots on the material, making it more stable for the dog bed to stay in place. Overall this is a cute dog bed as long as you realize it is smaller than a normal extra large size.

It's a bit confusing to assemble, but that's because once assembled it sits 48 hrs to get fluffed up more. My big guy has hip dysplasia and he seems quite content and comfortable on this. He a pretty good sized boy, approximately 90-100lbs.

Bailey is a 5 year old rescue who loves her new bed. While she looks too big for her bed in the front facing photo it is just the angle. This is her modelling pose which shows off her legs. You can see a better view that she fully fits in her bed from the side angle. Bailey is 45 lbs and a mutt from a German Shepherd and a mystery parent. The bed comes compressed in a vacuum bag so wait 2 days for it to fully plump up.

I was looking for a replacement bed for the one I have that I had to cut the material off around the top that held the bumpers (padding) because the zipper broke. My dog really liked the padding on that bed and used it for a pillow so I wanted to find her something similar. This dog bed is not it. Her previous bed has a layer of dense egg crate foam and a layer of memory foam so it's about 6" thick and is orthopedic quality. This mattress only has basic egg crate foam and is, maybe, 3-1/2" thick. The padding around the top took at least two days to finally plump up but is still somewhat lacking and is lumpy (like it only totally expanded in spots). On the plus side, the zippers in this bed are a bit heftier than in the old bed and the material of the cover is nice and soft. I put this bed on top of what was left of my dog's old bed and she seems satisfied even if I am not.

The bed came in plastic packaging that needed to expand after opening. It is super easy to put together (no instructions needed). I like the fact that it is made of waterproof materials inside and that the cover is machine washable. As you can tell by the pictures, our dog loves the bed. She is a 24 lb dog if that gives you an idea of the size of the bed. I would highly recommend this product. It is a nice looking little piece of pet furniture.
