I dj at home for my own entertainment. I purchased these needles over a year ago to replace my much loved Stanton trackmaster 2 set. These needles rock. They sound great, much better than my Stanton’s. Bass is deep, highs are clear and clean. This needle is very versatile in a dj setting or really great to kick back and just listen to records. They do a good job with whatever genre you’re playing. After one year of mild use (a couple of hours a week, sometimes a little less) they still sound brand new. Very happy with my purchase.

These are it. I was skeptical at first I've been using Shure M44-7s almost since i started DJing. I had the baby blue Shure 35Cs for about a year, then i moved to The Shure M44-7s. When Shure stopped making DJ cartridges i planned on getting a 2nd pair of custom Shure M44-7s because i was skeptical of anything else. Figuring they wouldn't track as well or sound right. I'm glad I trusted what other DJs were saying as well as my gut when it came to these. The Ortofon Scratch Mk2s are no joke that's the truth. I just hoped that they would work as well as a pair of my tilted m447s & so far i don't even know where the line is. They don't skip that's all i can say so if you're a scratch DJ/Turntabilist & you use real vinyl you won't look back. I have to say i was not an early user of DVS technology. I basically had to be pulled kicking and screaming into the future by the technology. I needed to know it would work on stage or in the studio. I'm a beat maker/producer sound designer & engineer that's what I do for a living so i mostly use my turntables to lay cuts on my beats & when i'm on tour with the artists i produce. Even after Serato became the standard i still used test plates when i DJ'd because i didn't trust the technology, especially on stage. I was worried something might go wrong with the laptop or the software...whatever but once i started working with Serato & had it setup correctly i realized you could rely on the technology just like you can rely on these Ortofon Scratch MK2s to not skip/jump when you're doing your thing.

I was really looking forward to these, but it seems like I got a used pair. The case and indents inside and the brush is missing. I'm really disappointed, especially paying full price for a new pair.

These are very similar to the digital versions of this cartridge the only difference that I see is the scratch cartridge seems to be a little bit more stiff compared to the scratch cartridge both sound amazing both track very well but the only thing like I said is the scratch cartridge does seem to be a bit stiffer and does not move much when backtracking

The main reason I got these was that Shure discontinued making M44-7 replacement stylus’s, which I was using on Technics headshells. My first cartridges were the mk1 concord style nightclubs, which sounded great, but had connection problems with some of the tonearms in club’s 1200s, also the handle was too small and thin for quickly grabbing. The new mk2 concord style has fixed these issues. My usage is 90% open format DJing and scratching on DVS, and 10% throwback vinyl sets. Comparing the sound quality to a worn M44, the low end bump was similar, the highs are nice, but that’s not apples to apples with the worn M44.The case with mounts for both is more convenient than carrying 2 large jewelry boxes. I’m satisfied with what I got for my money, but if you want to put in the time to research, you could probably get similar quality for less money.

クラブで大音量で流したら少し篭ったような音がするかな〜って思いましたが、高音を上げるとそんなに気にならなくなりました。
