Purchased the size XS to replace an old CamelBak rain cover that I’ve used for several years on my Osprey Raptor 14 pack.Osprey makes high quality and reliable outdoor gear and this rain cover hasn’t disappointed.Compared to my old CamelBak rain cover, this Osprey rain cover is an improvement in every respect: it’s high visibility and noticeable at night or in low light conditions (the Osprey logo/graphics are reflective), it’s waterproof, lightweight, easily adjustable, fits securely around the main body of the pack, has a blinker light attachment slot, and it easily folds up for storage within the attached storage case (which is made of the same material). There’s also a small drainage hole at the bottom of the rain cover for when any moisture makes it’s way inside the cover.A feature that would improve the cover further would be to add a Velcro or other strap that could be attached to one’s pack to hold it on while accessing the pack during windy and wet weather. The CamelBak cover I’ve been using for several years has this feature and it’s prevented the cover from being blown away when I’ve needed to stop while on a MTB ride or hike to access my pack for food, a jacket, etc. making it easy to access the pack in gusty wind/rain/snow while not having to hold on to the cover at the same time.

I tested the fit by filling the pack to the gills and putting a water bottle in each side pocket; it is tight, but it fits. I tested how well it stays on by walking through twiggy hedges, and even purposely scraped against bushes, and it stayed on, no problem. It stays on better than looser pack covers I own, so the tight fit is actually a good thing. I tested it in heavy rain, and the pack body, stayed totally dry. And the cover has a drain hole, in case some water makes it in the sides, but no water did. It shows very small, 4'x4'x2' inches. And weight is negligible, so easy to carry in the pack bottom, to dig out for when you need it. Over all better than all the other pack, cover, combinations I've owned!

I took this to Zion during a snow storm and it work exactly as intended on my 20L backpack. Kept the water out and packs up relatively small. I’m a huge fan of osprey products and their quality. It may be more expensive than other options on Amazon but I don’t mind paying for a quality product. I anticipate this will last a very long time.

I have a cute (read: not waterproof at all) leather backpack I use to store my computer, and I wanted something to protect both my bag and my electronics from the rain. Well it is perfect! The color is atrocious but it's so easy to slip on, and my bag is never wet! It also has a little pouch that it retracts into, which makes it small and actually allows for putting it back in your back after using it without getting anything wet.

Compact, facile à plier et réellement imperméable. Utilisé sur un sac Osprey 22 litres durant une journée de pluie continue sur la Via Spluga, est resté imperméable et a protégé le sac sans se déformer, avec une taille adaptée.

This cover has a fairly small footprint with a BRIGHT yellow color making you easily visible in a downpour. It does not (and could not) completely enclose/surround the backpack otherwise you wouldn't be able to wear it but it will keep water from infiltrating the bag while its on your back.

Ordered this in size S to cover my Osprey Talon 22 pack that I use to commute to work by foot in an urban environment with significant auto traffic. It conveniently stuffs into its own pocket, is a highly visible safety color, sports reflective detailing, and keeps my pack items dry when it rains or snows. The size S raincover secures well around the Talon 22 pack, however, the waist belt and waist belt pockets, when secured around the waist and exposed to the rain/ snow, their materials have wicked some moisture into the lower main pack compartment. Next time it rains/ snows, I may try to wear the pack with the waist belt unsecured and tucked under the raincover to prevent or reduce this wicking behavior.

After a few extended hikes in the rain with this cover I realized it functioned as advertised as it kept a Med/Lg daypack dry for a hike and packed easily in a very small space. After a few trips up Mt. Washington in gale winds and soupy fog in the rain I've come to appreciate it a great deal more for a few reasons. The color is great! Following someone, being followed or just making sure you have something large and very visible, this cover cuts through fog and seems to nearly double the distance a hiker can be seen from behind. In fairer weather the color catches the eye easily at distance with movement. I clip my cover to my pack in case of a blow-off but when cinched tight I've had it stay put in ripping winds which is one less thing to think about. That and it keeps your cloths dry in your backpack. Good functionality for the price.

I bought this to fit over my Osprey Raptor 14 pack which unfortunately doesn't come standard with the rain cover. I use this pack primarily for dirt bike trail riding and the rain cover works great to keep out the rain and mud splatter when going through big puddles. The high visibility color makes it easier for my fellow riders to see me on the trail as well as cars when I get out on the road. When I first installed it I was a little afraid it would blow off because it didn't "seem" like it was held on super securely. I actually hooked it to the pack with a small carabiner as a backup just in case it did fly off because I didn't want to lose it. I am happy to report that I have had zero problems with this cover coming off. I've been up to 50 mph multiple times and it's never shown any signs of coming loose. It doesn't even flop around at high speeds like I totally expected it to. I would definitely buy this product again.
