I have over 100 miles in with this pack so far. I am 6'7 and when I started to use this pack I was 412 pounds with a 56 inch waist. The pack fit me perfectly and room for me to grow, out, lol. I ended up losing weight with all the hikes I did since I started using this bag and now I have a size 44 inch waist and the pack still works for me. The pockets on the waist strap are in the right location and are big enough to fit my iPhone 15 max pro with in an otter box. It is a really nice pack and I beat on it and it still look like new. I highly recommend this pack for any larger person and believe you should bring it to a store like REI so they can help you fit it.You can't go wrong with this pack as a day or even a light overnight pack.

Fantastica mochila, pero cara. Hay alternativas parecidas en Decathon por una facción de su precio.

Perfect for a large person. It helps a lot to have a belt option on a backpack, I’ve found. Takes weight off the shoulders. I tried a number of options before going for this bag. This is for my husband with a 44inch waist. I was trying to get him a present. Two earlier models from other companies on Amazon sounded great with top reviews. Sorry, but they were heavy and people did not know what they were talking about. Cheaply made. Osprey is a name company with backpacks for serious hikers and for day to day use. They are designed well, know what they are doing. It’s the real thing and worth a little more. There are multiple adjustments to make the bag sit just right in your body. It looks like it will last a lifetime. Well made, easy to pack, plenty of pockets. Excellent. Spend a little more and get a lot more.

I was told that Macho Picchu was restrictive on backpack size. I was still able to fit all my GoPro gear and kids rain jackets with room to spare! Perfect pack for hiking around Peru for 5 days with 2 kids.

What is great:- Usable pockets on the waist strap- Asymmetrical exterior hanging loops and straps- Amazing adjustment for finding the perfect fitWhat isn't so great:- Ridiculously thin top handle strap- No interior sleeve or pocket for a laptop- Expensive for a day packI seem to be on the endless hunt for the perfect day pack that can handle anything from a full day on the trail, being a bottomless "dad bag" at the park, to the extremes of hauling a 30lb concrete block across town on foot (true story). The Osprey Talon 22L meets almost all of my criteria and is my new go-to bag for everyday activities. The exterior design is subtle. In sawdust/Earl Grey the color seems to blend in to almost any surroundings, and there are no big logos or aggressively technical patch panels or molle loops. However, this bag is weel worth a second look, because the back plate is one of the most comfortable I've worn, and the combination of pockets and asymmetrical loops and hangers make it a highly adaptable platform. On the move I found I could easily reach bottles in the two large side pockets, and snacks or keys vanished easily into the two zippered pockets on the waist strap. The cycle helmet hanger in the center of the front of the bag is a bit of a gimmick, but I've been able to find ways to use it. The front stuff compartment doesn't stretch a whole lot but will hold a light jacket or plush toy when in dad mode. The exterior top zippered pocket is deeper than I expected and inside there is another zippered pocket in the main compartment providing more secure storage. There is space for a water bladder between the back plate and the bag, but the access to this is cramped making it not ideal for laptop duties, and there is no sleeve inside the main compartment.Over the last two weeks I've used this as the dad bag, climbing bag, bike bag, for shopping, and even a trip to the beach. In every situation it has been comfortable to wear, stable when moving, and easy to live with. In fact the only thing that is a serious failure with the bag is the design of the top grab handle. Instead of a decent sized handle or strap Osprey have used a thin ribbon strap (photo included) that just doesn't work as a handle when the pack is loaded. It copes with the weight but digs into your fingers quickly. On a bag where everything else is so well thought out this is a really strange oversight. So it is my almost perfect bag, and definitely my current favorite. The handle is annoying at the price, but it does everything else really well. The materials, finish, and ability to adjust the straps to get the perfect fit are spot on. A solid 4 out of 5 stars!

You don't feel the weight of your bag, which is excellent. Sturdy. Very comfortable to carry.

I am 6'0" and a fraction, and I don't have a particularly long torso. This "XL" pack doesn't come anywhere *near* to resting on my hips. I had a Raptor 22 pack I discarded when multiple clips cracked and it was way closer to a fit than this thing. I am returning it.I also strongly dislike the fact that the bladder compartment remains open at the top. I freeze water in my bladder for hot days and the lack of closure and insulation is likely to be a problem for me. For that matter, I considered this pack to be unconscionably expensive given that it doesn't even come with a bladder. On the plus side, the compartment organization and general construction quality were very good.If I were only going to use a pack for biking (where resting on the hips isn't as important), I'd probably have kept it, but I need a solid day pack for long hikes as well.
