Good tasting for a green tea

I have to say I'm a little bit wary about matcha in general. It tastes a bit too grassy to me typically, a bit off putting. I love it instead as a matcha banana smoothie and that is how I drink it typically. I decided though to take a chance on trying matcha in this form- a milky matcha powder packet that you just mix with 6 oz. of hot water. I wasn't expecting much, but boy was I impressed! This powder packet mixed into the hot water very easily, and it was creamy with just a hint of sweetness to it! The one question I have still (I didn't find the ingredients clearly stated, from what I can tell only matcha and milk powder is mentioned) is - is this sweetened with a sweetener, or it is just naturally sweet and milk and matcha are the only two ingredients- is this sweetened with something other than the milk and the matcha? I feel that the ingredients need to be more clearly stated on the product itself. Also, it should say how many calories, per packet on the box. I could not find that information anywhere either. It is DELICIOUS, though- I have to say. I enjoy it almost as much as a cup of hot cocoa and yet it is so much better for me than hot cocoa is! I'm surprised actually with how much I loved this drink. I want to try making this with hot milk next and see how creamy that makes it, but honestly, there is no need for that, the hot water was absolutely fine on its own with this powder.

I really like these matcha milk tea packets! At first I thought they had kind of a bitter aftertaste, but then I decided to try making them with warm but not boiling water so as not to burn the matcha, which was much better. I highly recommend using water that's 160 degrees F max to make these. They actually taste pretty sweet to me, so I can use more water than recommended, about 8 to 10 oz., and have a full cup of tea from each packet. These taste very creamy even when made with just water, with just a slight bit of astringency from the matcha. This does taste a bit different from Japanese matcha, so keep that in mind. But I like this as a sweet treat when I don't feel like making a latte from scratch. The packets are easy to use and the powder mixes well with just a spoon and little effort. I just wish there were more packets included for the price.

This match milk tea powder makes a tasty cup for match latte lovers. This powder comes in stick containers that are easy to travel with. Pouring the contents out into my cup I see it is a fine green powder. You add about 5 oz of hot water and stir (I used a milk frother to stir). The powder dissolves pretty well (there was some very fine sediment in the last swallow of the prepared drink but it wasn’t gritty). It was a bit too sweet to me so I added another half oz of hot water. This made it a bit less creamy and a bit less sweet to me. The overall flavor was sweet, with just a bit of matcha drying bitterness … both in good proportions. I liked the drink. I do not like that there is no nutritional info on the box (or it could be in Korean as most of the text on the back of the box is in Korean with very little English). I don’t know how many calories or how much fat I consumed. I also don’t know the complete ingredient list. The online description lists only green tea. The box says “creamy with milk powder even in water” so there is also milk powder in it. Anything else? I just don’t know but wish I did. Overall, I like the product but wish the nutritional information wasn’t lost in translation. I also wish the serving size was bigger but I did not remove any stars for that as 5-6 oz is a pretty standard serving size for these types of drink mixes in my experience.

This type does not have as much flavor with one pack as the older wide packs did. I wish it did not get discontinued. I usually do 8 oz with two packs but had to do a third pack to get the same flavor, color, and creaminess.

Very easy to make - just heat up some milk or water and then pour this powder in and mix it up. It's that simple. The consistency is good even in water but it is definitely even better in milk. The higher the fat content of the milk the better this will taste, of course.I've enjoyed it hot so much I've not made it cold yet.I will say though that I think it needs to be sweeter so I add in 1 packet of splenda - which is a fair bit for such a smaller serving. I think it could have more powder per packet as well.

I had never had Matcha from Jeju, Korea before and really wanted to see if it taste different than the matcha I had when I was in Japan. I had some on the go packets from Japan, so this was a no-brainer. It is a one to one comparison. After translating the instructions, I heated 150ml of milk to warm, I added the packet of milk tea and stirred. It dissolved quickly. The first thing I noticed was the smell, it smells stronger than the Japanese tea. It smells more fermented. I was surprised that the taste wasn't as it smells, it was milder than its scent. To me, there was a nice balance to this milk tea. It wasn't overly powerful, it was subtle and tasted pleasant. I decided to mix it with water to see if the milk tea would be more bitter. It was slightly more fermented tasting but honestly just an overall pleasant cup of milk tea. Either way, you get an enjoyable cup of Matcha Milk Tea. I say the Japanese version is slightly better, as I feel it has more flavor, but I would not turn down either tea!For me, I feel one packet is not enough, so I make two packets at a time. One packet is like a taste, two packets is a cup of tea for me! To each his own, as they say! Buy this, its good!
