Works great once you get the balancing act down when using it. To install studs you have to balance the tool, the part that fits over the stud and line everything up all while holding the air gun to take the slack up. I’ve seen complaints about the screw threads getting messed up. I oil it before each use and it has now west or seems to be stripping. You will need a 3/4 gun to use it properly. 1/2 inch drive will do it but it’s a slow process. 3/4 zips them right in and out. Worth the money.

This tool is perfect with no issues. Swapped out 40 wheel studs on semi-tractor in just a couple of hours with 3/4" Milwaukee cordless impact. Truck was spec'd from factory with shorter studs for dual steel wheels and installed much longer studs for dual aluminum wheels. The key is to keep the forcing screw properly lubricated, do not run dry especially with a high torque impact gun.

This works very well for removing studs from the hub on class 8 trucks, while the hub is still on the truck. It does not allow you to remove the studs in a Bendix disc brake system. There isn’t enough room between the back of the hub and the rotor face to remove the stud. It will work once you remove the hub from the truck and remove the rotor from the hub.

So far I have removed and replaced 36 wheel studs on 2.5 tonne army truck style axles while hubs are on truck with no issues. Just make sure you keep the threads on the tool lubricated well to avoid binding in the c clamp.

Worked great to remove 40 22mm studs, but it didn't have enough power to remove larger 1 1/8" studs. When installing the 22mm studs, the threads locked up after the 8th one even with heavy oiling. Warranty will cover it, but I wont be using it to install anymore. A thrust bearing type of installer seems to be better on heavy truck applications.

This tool would be a great tool if the forcing screw threads were machined correctly. The first one I purchased lasted 20 studs and then seized up. the second one didn't last 6 studs and the same thing happened. It did not matter how much you lubricated the threads.
