I used this to flush heater core of my 2014 Ram 2500 pickup. The combination of air and water removed a lot more crud than I had been able to remove using just garden hose water at 40 psi.The build quality is not great, but sufficient. The trigger works fine, but valve to control the water volume going into the gun leaks a bit and is hard to turn while water pressure is on.Overall, it’s worth the price paid to get good results for my project/vehicle.

We bought my wife a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage first cold weather we discovered it had a 50% blocked heater core with barely any heat on drivers side. Using this for about 2 hours I got the vent temp with in 1c of each other.I had no issues with build quality make sure everything’s tight and sealed! I’m a mechanic so used this with a workshop compressor at work but a home mechanic will need a good air compressor to use efficiently.The picture is not the item you receive I got the genuine OTC gun.In all good tool saves a lot of time and money not replacing heater core.Would recommend.

Well first of all I was on the fence about buying this but turned out to be a good investment. I read many reviews and some said it was not genuine otc. Mine definitely was,came in a sealed box so no complaints there. Also by reading reviews I knew it wasn't coming with a air hose end so I ordered one with it. I'd take half a star off for that if I could. But that being said I got it all hooked up and ready to roll. Was happy with the overall quality of it. Make sure you have the drain open to relieve pressure and let the garbage out. I had tried 3 separate times to drain and used radiator flush (prestone) and it was still coming out filthy. A good blasting and there was all kinds of rust and chunks coming out that the liquid cleaner wasn't going to touch. Still need to do the heater core though. I've read the gun doesn't fit in there but we'll see I guess. Probably depends on the make and model. One other note looking at the pictures I would have guessed the nozzle end to be a flexible rubber that would expand with pressure but its not. Its a hard plastic so you have to really get the nozzle seated in good to seal the water pressure. Overall was very pleased with the product at the price point. Still going to take it to the dealership to have them flush and refill it but that's cause I'm super anal about proper maintenance and correct fluids. But they said it was extra for a deep flush which I really think I would have needed. At 100+ an hour this should get me on the regular price one I'd think. And I keep it for future use.

I wasn't sure if this would work to reestablish good flow through a heater core in my 2005 civic but it did. The connections to the tool are tight and don't leak and the end result was a working heater core that saved a HUGE job to get to the heater core for replacement (probably would never be attempted). So, I recommend this tool. You will need an air fitting as it doesn't come with one. I would have liked a better box to store it as once you add the air fitting it doesn't fit with the box closing but this is a minor inconvenience. The tool helped to restore heat with full flow. Bottom line is that it worked.

I have a 4 year old Ram 3500 Cummins Diesel with 160,000 miles. The cab heat stopped being hot, this truck would melt you out in a matter of minutes. But this winter the heat just was luke warm at best. I checked the blend doors, changed a thermostat even though I did not think it was the issue it was cheap enough and 160K was time. We had a recall for the water pump and took it in for a New pump figured cant hurt. The last resort before a complete dash tear down including discharging the AC to get to the heater core so a full day at least and hundreds of dollars or pay $1,500 for the dealer to do it. I bought this after watching a You Tube Video of it. It worked great now we have full heat back and it comes out at 150 plus degrees at 25 outside. Before we were getting around 75 degrees! The plastic Male to Male quick connect that comes with it sucks and leaks so I had a brass Male to Male and a brass quick connect. It is plastic, made well but I can see if you do not use your head it could break. Also you have to watch the PSI and amount of water you use so you do not blow apart the heater core. I ran 50-75 psi air and shot it in surges so you get slugs blasting through multiple times with varying amounts of water and did it from both directions multiple times. I also soaked the core for 30 mins with Thermocure and flushed and soaked in vinegar for 10 mins and flushed. Very happy

I purchased this tool to flush out the cooling system on my 2007 Nissan Frontier. Once upon a time, I had a shop change the coolant in my vehicle, and they refilled the system with a standard coolant, rather than the special coolant required by Nissan. The color of the coolant was the same, and I took the shop's word that they were using a compatible coolant. Anyway, the standard coolant started corroding my cooling system and I noticed little gray blobs floating in my radiator.After running a cooling system flush/cleaner chemical through the system and draining the radiator, I removed the thermostat to begin flushing out all the old coolant. Using a garden hose and compressed air, the water started running clear after a few short blasts with this tool. First, I started back flushing through the upper radiator hose and catching all the old coolant through the bottom radiator hose. Next, I filled the overflow reservoir with water and used compressed air to force the water through the system. Then, I disconnected the heater hoses and flushed the heater core with water and air.Satisfied that all the old coolant was out of the system, I started rinsing out the lines with distilled water by pouring the water into the reservoir and upper radiator hose. (Tap water contains minerals that are not desirable to have in your coolant.) After pouring the distilled water into the system, I flushed out the water out with air only.Confident that all the old coolant was flushed, and at least 90% of the tap water I used for flushing, I replaced the thermostat and began preparation for refilling the cooling system. A quick pressure test showed no leaks, and I hooked up the other tool I used to refill the cooling system under vacuum to reduce the chance for air being introduced into the sytem.I do have a few quick notes on this tool that some of you may want to know. First, if you desire to flush out the tap water with distilled water, you will actually have to pour the distilled water into your hoses. This nifty tool lacks sufficient pressure to siphon water directly from bottles. Second, the tool does not come with an exhaust hose to direct liquids when it is in vacuum mode. A quick trip to your local home improvement store for some tubing and a hose clamp can take care of that, though.
