About this item

  • Ideal for Quick Stops - The lightweight, compact OTTOLOCK is an innovative theft deterrent device designed for short stops on any bike or e-scooter ride. Whether you’re running an errand, meeting a friend for lunch, or browsing the farmer’s market, this convenient cinch lock has you covered without weighing you down.
  • Ultralight and Portable - Proudly made in the USA, the 60” Original OTTOLOCK weighs only 260 grams (0.6 lbs); much lighter than a U-Lock. It coils down to just 4” in diameter when not in use and can easily be carried in a pocket, saddle bag, or backpack, or on your bike’s frame.
  • Clever, Patented Design - The Original OTTOLOCK is made with three layers of stainless steel wrapped in an ultra tough Kevlar jacket that resists the cutting and sawing of many tools commonly used in opportunity theft. The band is coated in anti-scratch Santoprene plastic, which has rubber-like characteristics, to protect your bike frame and designed with a resettable 3-dial combination.
  • Perfect for Electric Scooters and E-mobility – OTTOLOCK is the ideal solution for short stops on your e-mobility trip. Locked tight to the steering column or through the deck, OTTOLOCK quickly secures your electric scooter for peace of mind when you’re on the go.
  • Not a Replacement for a U-LOCK - The intent of OTTOLOCK is to provide an easy-to-carry solution to prevent opportunistic theft during quick stops with next to no weight penalty. All bike locks can be defeated with proper tools, technique, and time. OTTOLOCK recommends redundant locking with a quality U-Lock, such as the OTTOLOCK SIDEKICK, for long duration lock-ups and in areas prone to theft.

I carry my Hexband lock wherever I go. It’s small, easy to pack in my jersey pocket and due to its design, I know when I stop in to grab a coffee, my bike will be there. It’s a great choice for anyone who needs a compact, reliable, and strong lock for those short breaks during a long ride!

Use this more with my 3 wheeler an a bicycle .Works great to lock up your helmet and stop someonefrom rolling it away easily if gone for a while. The no scratch rubber is a bonus and loops easily to rail for storagewhen riding .

Fabulous lock. It is quite light and very strong. Certainly I would not lock up an out of eye sight $5,000 bicycle but it give one great confidence when you stop at the coffee shop or run in to mail a package. While it's venerability it to snips few petty thieves have those. I bought one for my son so he can lock his bike while at school and it is easy for him to operate. I would highly recommend it.

Light weight and easy to carry. I have several of these locks. I keep some attatched to my various bikes so I am never without. I took a 60 inch lock with me while traveling in Europe. Keeping lugage weight down is essential, so no one wants to sacrifice 5 pounds to a lock. But no one wants their precious bicycle stolen either. I could lock my bike nearly anywhere while visiting museums, shopping or sight seeing. Is this a cheap lock? No. But would you trust your bike's safety to a cheap lock? I don't think so. And I like that I can set my own combination code.

I have one of these for quick trips around town where I want to lock my bike, but I'm not thinking I need maximum protection. The best features are that it's small, and coils up easily with it's own retention. It's reasonably light and small enough that it fits in my jeans back pocket or similar. The main downside I find is that the numeric combo lock is a little finicky to use. It's small and just hard (than I'd like) to turn each dial individually. But, otherwise, great little lock that fits my particular need.

This luck is certainly convenient and saves a lot of space. Initially, it works fine. After a few months if use, I went to unlock it and the button would not press. Played around with the numbers until, fortunately, I happened upon a combination that worked. So, the lock spontaneously changes the combination. I could be a real bummer if you come out to your bike and can't unlock it. This happened to me twice. Fortunately, the second time it was when I was applying the lock not removing it. It also becomes very difficult to insert and remove the scrap from the lock mechanism after a while. I have purchased two of these hoping the second would be better. But, it's not. I'm throwing it out and using my reliable cable combination lock.

3 stars for the weight. Its much lighter compared to my previous abus lock which was almost 700-800 grams. So I followed the instructions to set a new pin. After using for a while, I found out that even if I was off plus minus one digit, the lock would still unlock.

I know what you are thinking - yea there are tons of bad reviews stating the cable can be cut in 2 seconds, and the lock gets jammed and stuck, but it couldn't be that bad right? I'll just give it a try..... Yea well you'll be wasting your time. Of course you can get your money back. But I'm telling you it's garbage quality. And not just because it can be easily cut through. That didn't matter to me. Actually maybe you should just go ahead and try it so you can also be super inconvenienced and leave a bad review and this company will finally be driven off Amazon and the face of the retail world. Because the product is that bad. I had this thing out of the box it came in for less than 5 minutes when I knew it was being returned. The first thing you will notice is that the locking mechanism is complete garbage. Super flimsy. The numbers don't align well. There isn't really a line to tell you where to align the numbers. They sort of align half way between the spot they are supposed to be in and the next spot. Where do they go? It's total chaos and garbage quality. Well I immediately tried resetting the combo from the default 000 combination. I followed the instructions exactly and when I inserted the cable into the lock afterwards it would not come back out. And never did so again. I'm not going to go on and on. This product is terrible. And WAY overpriced. And VERY EASY to cut (see other reviews and videos). It can be snipped with $5 clippers. But you know what - the price and the ease at which it can be cut was ok with me. I was going to use this for my OneWheel when in bars and restaurants and the OneWheel was nearby me. I wanted it just so someone can't grab it and run. So I bought it. I'm an idiot. Should have believed the reviews.
