only meant to replace fin on a blow up board, doesn't come with any instructions at all. I found instructions on another suppliers web page and it is not an easy job. I am building wood boards could no see any way to mount that compatible to the wood.

The new Sea Eagle EZLite 10 comes with a long slide in skeg which is a standard size used on the larger kayaks as well. It really keeps the track straight, so much so, turning takes too much effort for my taste. Without a skeg light wind puffs (with paddle up) will turn the boat. This 4 1/2" long I think will be a great compromise, decent tracking with easy enough tuning. It is a light boat with a V hull and does not need much skeg. Slides in easily and locks, appears to be an exact fit. Have not tested it on the water yet but it is solid and fits proper on my boat, including the clip.

My kayak's (Lifetime Quest "Endeavor") stern keel is very large and flat so it doesn't track very well, especially when I stop paddling. Otherwise it's a great boat. So I bought this skeg to help and I have been very happy with the results. It now tracks straighter while paddling and extremely straight when gliding. It was pretty easy to install using JB Weld Marine epoxy, but I had to cut off about 1/4 inch from the base on either side so that it will fit on the keel more easily (but that is the benefit of having that large flat area). The base is somewhat flexible rubber so it wasn't difficult to get it to fit even on a slightly convex surface.If you're going to use this just make sure that you roughen up the mating surfaces of the base and the boat with some 100 grit sandpaper so that the epoxy has some more gripping power, and ensure that they're also cleaned with a degreaser and some alcohol, and it doesn't hurt to use a vacuum on them also to remove all sanding dust and cleaning debris. And also be sure to tape it down with painters tape or something all around the perimeter and put something heavy on it until it completely cures. I may have written too much but I hope that it's helpful to someone.

Fit my funwater sup and let me go down a river way more confidently. A touch more maneuverable than I'd like for the slow river I was on. Perhaps I'd try 5 or 6 inch in the future
