How To Use
- Step 1: Fill proper test oil into the detector
- Step 2: Disconnect these pipes that need to be connected with detector
- Step 3: Connect detector with DC 12V battery
- Step 4: After pipe filled with smoke, check leaks by the changes of pressure gauge changes
NOTES: Both mineral oil and baby oil are OK, oil is not included.

Warm Notes:
- - In first time use, please fill with 10ml test liquid into the car smoke leak detector. Both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK, but please NOT to beyond this range of 10ml.
- - Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the oil left in the detector. The fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, can’t be filled over 20ml each time.
- - During the process of leak detection, must keep away from smoke-sensitive parts. Please be careful with the round part of the leak detector with high temperature to avoid burns hurt.
- - Do NOT use the leak detector over 8 minutes continuously. Once the high temperature protection mechanism triggered, please make it interval rest and operate later.
About Maintenance:
With longtime high temperature work, the smoke and oil will oxidize and deteriorate. It will infect the service life of smoke generated part, so please change smoke and oil regularly.
- Before filling new oil, please pour out the remaining oil in the detector
- When the smoke output has water drops, please replace with new oil
- Liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK. Please fill new oil with equipped oil bottom

Have found about the same machine on line for a little less money. Wish I had known about the use of a smoke machine when I purchased this one, I would have gone up a level, few more features.

This smoker is a necessity for any auto shop. I've used it to find evap leaks and diagnose systems, and find intake leaks. Yes I know it's only 1/4 the price of a professional name brand, but if you don't have one at all buy this, it works. Just get the one with the oil level indicator. Honestly I can't think of one thing wrong about it.

I was impress with the kit that came with this smoker. It was well packaged and nothing appears to be out of ordinary. It doesn't come with the oil but will get some for the smoker. I will have to report back on how it works.

I get it, it's cheap. I am not expecting snapon-otc quality. it's decent in build but I have some issues.the first one, who's bright idea was it to use a 120 volt power cord for 12 volts? the connection on the tool is the same as a computer power cord. I am sure this will cause problems for someone. I know as I was unboxing it I though "that's strange, 120 volts?" when I saw the connection on the back of the unit.how well does it work? I don't know. why? because they don't even include 1 ounce of oil. so now that it is finely here. I still can't use it.

item was a godsend! I typically do a rather simple boost leak test on cars prior to ecu recalibration, but with this smoke machine I can REALLY tell if its leaking and from exactly where!
