The product was well packaged in its original packaging but it was scratched and clearly used. I am requesting a 50% refund for a second hand product.

Not sure why outback didn't go with standard ethernet for communications. That way we can use cheapo 8 port switches. Also the hub doesn't work when plugged in. The last hub fried.

I've been running Outback equipment for about 20 years. I've never had a failure or problem. Switched my Mate 2 for a Mate 3S, my Hub 4 for a Hub 10 and my MX60 for a Flex80 seamlessly. This stuff just works right year after year.

Used it for my off grid house. Works well.

Very easy to setup. Nothing to it. Just wish it wasn’t necessary with only two Outback devices (plus the Mate 3s). I would think that the hub could be built into the Mate in the next iteration.

I was cornered into buying this. Outback could easily have designed their products to work over a standard ethernet switch, but they created a proprietary network to force you to buy their hardware. This is nothing more than a simple PoE ethernet hub. It feels cheap, it's made in China, and is worth about $5.Also, it does not display battery temperature for devices other than port 1. So if you have an inverter on port 1, you can see the battery temp. Add an inverter on port 2 - 10, can't see the battery temp. Horrible engineering.
