This simple but very functional outdoor lamp brings the indoor look outside for areas that may not have access to electrical power. We ordered this for our outside patio area that has full sun with southern exposure so we are hopeful the solar panel at the top can keep it charged. We can easily move it around where & when we need it. The brightness & color mode adjustments can set the mood we need via the full function remote or the pull chain or cable. The base is very heavy & should keep it stable in higher winds.

Hello All,The Gewiny Outdoor Floor Lamp is quite an excellent versatile RGB (Red, Green, Blue) LED 3 3-watt cordless solar-powered offering. With 7 colors that can cycle through 3 levels of light emitting intensity that can be programmable via a small remote control powered by a small lithium battery. The assembly of the floor lamp required no tools and I put it together in under 4 minutes time. The entire floor lamp weighs in at 9 pounds as stated on the merchant product information page. The base of the floor lamp is the heaviest of the entire assembly process like it weighs over 6 pounds or so. Of the 4 metal poles the uppermost one is slotted to be screw twist attached to the LED enlarged Lamp bulb portion and its subordinate lower metal pole. It's clearly different from its opposing other 3 metal poles with screw-like configurations.I did notice after I placed it in my living room that it took roughly a couple of hours to fully charge with the supplied white USB cable that came with the floor lamp. I have yet to try out the solar-powered option since I will mostly be utilizing this LED floor lamp indoors. There was one odd item I did notice if a loud enough noise can be registered by the lamp the LED solid lamp flickers on all by itself. The pulley that comes with the floor lamp is only good for turning on and cycling through the 7 available RGB colors. The pulley is apparently useless in terms of turning off the floor lamp altogether. You'll need to small hand remote to turn it off completely. Also, when the power charge is completely drained. The lamp will flicker on one last time when idle as in turned off and flicker on all by itself and then shut off without any more electric charge available. That kinda surprised me when it first happened. The Solar Floor Lamp Instructions pamphlet comes in several languages (ie. German, French, Italian, and Spanish.) but foremost it starts off thankfully in English. Although the font lettering size is tiny and small needing a magnifying glass to read properly. In fact, I didn't even utilize the Instructions at all since the setup was so very simple and effortless. The merchant product info page online showcases you can adjust the Solar Floor Lamp to different sizes. By merely removing one of the additional metal poles in order to shorten the vertical standing size of the floor map itself. At the time of this written review, the merchant is generously offering a $20 Discount Online Coupon prior to your potential purchase as a promotion. Be sure not to miss it by mistake.

This lamp is AWESOME! I was expecting it to arrive with some outdoor resistant shade that would maybe last a season…I was definitely not expecting for the entire white top of the lamp to be one thick plastic piece, which is sealed and topped with plenty of solar cells! The lamp changes colors and brightness by every gentle tug of the chain and even has a nice “fire” mode with the remote! This would be ideal for those who like to travel/camp with RV’s or camping trailers—-one or two of these would definitely amp up outdoor relaxation and also set you apart from the crowd for certain! I have ours on an open deck section that comes off our gazebo, going towards the pool and it looks great! Very happy with this well weighted, top quality lamp!

Looks great, works great but the lamp shade is smaller than I expected.

I'm a big fan of solar technology and I am well aware that it is viable and that given sufficient light , time, and high efficiency PV cells it will work. Unfortunately, this is just another in the long list of products I've recently got which feature solar charging - and yet I am never able to get them to work at all unless I provide power by cable. In the case of this lamp its been sitting for 8 days next to windows on two sides (at the edge of the room) with the blinds open, no curtains, it's got a week of semi-direct sunlight and those windows face the direction where the sun rises, that room lights up bright every morning, I live in the northeastern US which isn't the sunniest climate but it is sufficient for solar PV. There isn't a better spot where I could put in unless I moved to another climate.I will continue to fiddle with it, now that I've charged it up with a wire for the first time maybe it's possible that given this electricity charging the battery, it'll be able to operate independently (not plugged in) from solar charging going forward? That is my hope and I will certainly update this review if I see any indication that the solar panels are charging the battery enough to turn on the lamp. Because the $80 price tag would only be justified by a working solar charging system, I am rating it two stars because that is how I feel represents the value of an $80 standing lamp which isn't particularly bright or nice looking but does have an internal rechargeable battery which can keep it on 4-5 hours (and no working solar charging).

Love love love this lamp so far! I live in northern NJ (the pointy bit) and I live out on my deck most of the year. I've been using a little solar hand-lamp to light my nocturnal visits to the outdoors, but after a couple of years it finally gave up the ghost and went to its rest. This was my replacement and it's been great so far!It was easy to assemble - simply screw the pieces together. The instructions to use the lamp are clear and I didn't even bother to pre-charge the light - just plonked it out in the sunshine. I appreciate that there's a hard shut-off switch to control the automatic turn-on - the light can automatically turn on when the sun goes down or not, depending on your choice. It flips through a rainbow of colors - I do wish there were a way to turn that off since I'm only really interested in white light and you pull the switch for 3 seconds to turn it on or off. It's been through some pretty intense wind and rain so far and held up admirably. It'll be a great addition to our summer!
