This chair is beautiful and comfortable. It is definitely heavy-duty and well made. It's easy enough to assemble that my 18 yo put it together in about 35 minutes. It's definitely a large chair and I love the extra space for pillows. At the time of writing this review, it's listed for $99, and I feel that's an excellent value.

This purchase was for my back patio. The wood seems to be just the natural wood without any finish which is great as I want to varnish it another color. The chair was pretty easy to put together ... I'm a bit slow so it took me about 45 minutes from unpacking, identify the pieces, and then put the chair together (note most of the chair is already assembled so you only need to attached the connecting parts, i.e. the back rest to the seat, seat to the legs, etc. The seller's description said that the chair would hold up to 220 lbs, but I'm not sure about that as I'm 180 and when I sat in the chair I definitely heard some cracking happening, but maybe that was just the sound it makes in the first sitting. When I sat in it a second time I didn't hear anything going on and I didn't see any actual cracking in the wood. Once in the chair, I felt that it was sturdy and I was safe - nothing scary happening. I would NOT say the chair was roomy unless you are a very thin person, but I would say that I was able to fit in it comfortably. I paid full price for this chair and do not feel the price was too much for what I received. Only time will tell how long the chair will last, but since I put it together, and feel all the parts (nuts and bolts) seemed to be of good quality, I'm thinking the chair will last at least a few seasons. I'm happy with my purchase.

This is a great Adirondack chair. Good quality and solid hardware. It was easy to assemble and is plenty sturdy for the average sized adult.At first, I was turned off by the finish. I know the listing says it “coated” but it didn’t seem finished out at all. Just raw wood with no sealer or protectant. That wouldn’t last 1 yr on our back patio. However, after we used it for a while, I snapped and said duhhhh, if it’s unfinished wood, that means you can finish it out however you want! So I’m in the currently in the process of staining and sealing it! I sanded it lightly all over and put the first coat of grey-wash wood stain on it and it already looks spectacular! The grey-wash stain is the same color we used on all the beams and raw wood elements, when we built our home a few years ago, so this will tie in beautifully. I think I will order a second chair, so we can have a matching pair. I haven’t priced other solid wood Adirondack chairs lately, but I do know they are expensive, even the unfinished ones. So I feel like this is an excellent value and you can seal, stain or paint it however you want!

It was easy to put together and is so comfortable! I wouldn't say that it is 'oversized', I am 5'2" and find this chair very comfortable! I got this to lounge outside and it works great. This chair is very comfortable, especially with the added ottoman. If you are looking for a comfortable, well-made, beautiful, and easy-to-put-together chair, then look no further! This chair met all of my expectations and I am going to purchase another to have a set.

I got this chair for my Mom, she likes to sit out with the dogs when the weather is nice. She usually just has a regular metal chair but I thought this would be nice for her to stretch her legs out. It was easy to put together and she loved the blue color. It is very durable. She's only 5 feet tall and had plenty of room so would definitely work for taller folks as well. Easy to clean too! I love the fact that it folds up! Great for storage! I am very pleased it was all wood.The chair is quite comfortable with or without the bottom ottoman portion. I like the option you can use that or take it off! The finish is not super smooth. At some point I may sand it down and give it a new coat of paint. But for what it is, it is very nice. Good price for all wood!I am please overall with the chair, quality, ease of use and assembly.

My wife and I like sitting on our deck, but the chairs were uncomfortable after a short time. This Adirondack is much more comfortable for more time enjoying outside. It is wood, so a cushion is recommended!Overall, a great chair for outdoor life!
