I live in the Caribbean and a good umbrella stand is imperative. I have tried many at our villas and this one is great. I like the option to use as a table but you can also use as a planter. We go with the table and fill the interior with rocks and they are stable and do not tip over. They are also easy to move as it has wheels at the base.

We bought two of these boxes and added 2 30lb bags of sand in the original bags to each box and arranged the bags around the pole without emptying the sand in the box. Works great. Our deck can get windy and they are sturdy, and easy to move on the castors. I want two more but they are only offering them in black and we like the brown better so we'll wait to buy more until the brown is offered again. The dual pole screws need to be tightened down and checked occasionally. We remove the umbrellas when we know a storm or heavy rain is coming and cover the boxes with a canvas cover so the box doesn't fill with water. Not a problem for us since we also cover our chairs. The boxes have a dual use as a place to set your drinks. I am so happy with these... we lost our tree shading the deck and these are perfect. A regular umbrella stand doesn't stand up to the wind. I would highly recommend them but the sand bags are an essential part to the sturdiness of the umbrella. The boxes were easy to assemble although I would suggest a power screwdriver, I did it manually and it wasn't hard.
