Supper quite machine. Almost cannot hear the vac. Original vac (35 years old) was loud large and required 220v.

This replaced an older unit by another manufacturer that was installed in a house we bought. The suction is really powerful compared to the old one. It always has a red warning light on or flashing, unable to find out why, it does not stop the unit from working so never called the manufacturer. It flashed red on the day I connected it and it is still flashing today about three years later. Also easy to replace the filter cartridge.

Bought this complete central vac system from OVO for new lakefront cabin, and installing it was a breeze with the matching install kit. Had a Beam system in last home and this system is more powerful, much, much quieter and a very reasonable price of $837 complete. It is so quiet that the installation in our utility closet cannot be heard in other parts of cabin-the noise of the suction from the hose & handle is louder-awesome. And the support from the company in Quebec, Canada (thank you Catherine Roux) was great-one minor piece failed during install and they shipped replacement immediately, arrived fast and now working. The added bonus is that it is manufactured in Canada, NOT China. Highly recommend for new construction or retrofit of other brands, most of which are made in China. Great product at a great price

I've had it for a year. Replaced a 20 year old NuTone. So far, it's been great. Super easy to install, suction is good. Not sure what else you'd want from a Central Vac system. If you're hesitant because the price seems too good to be true, I can attest that this system is solid.

I have been through a few units . Local shop wanted 900 for a replacement unit. This unit is more powerful and easy to install. Great feature besides being quiet is that it stays on for a few seconds longer after pulling hose off to allow remaining dirt to get into bag…..amazing and I installed in 15 min. Simple ,,,,,,

I needed to replace my current system and after doing a bunch of reading and looking at reviews, I decided to purchase this system. Installation was simple and painless.This system was noticeable different from the one it replaced. The sound of the vacuum and watching the dog hair get pulled in from a distance was a breath of fresh air. The motor noise was 100x less than the old one. I have the unit in the garage and I can no longer hear the motor running all over the house.I would recommend this product base on those reason and the suction power is top notch. It's an affordable system and I am happy with the purchase.

The unit worked great for 4 months and then stopped working, I did all the checks the Manuel said to do still not working, I got ahold of company and after 8 email's I have to send back to them so they can try and fix it, it shows they have a 10 year a warranty, I just don't like being without a unit till they figure it out or not. ? I fill they should have sent a replacement one out ! Well see how long it takes to get it back ? well this company is very hard to deal with , i got the vac back in terrible condition, i asked them what happen to it they told me that's how they got it? it looked new when i sent it out. very disappointed. update , I was promised a new unit and never received it. DO NOT buy this product.

This Ovo Central vac system works very nicely. My husband installed the unit from ‘scratch’ actually (he had to install all the piping because we didn’t have central in this home). I do , however, have experience with the Beam unit from my previous home and I feel this OVO unit is superior! It has great suction power and ease of use with changing out extensions from floor to carpet. The beater bar works great on the carpets and I can hear the dirt come up that I wasn’t getting with my previous standup vac. My house is very dusty due to ongoing renovations we are doing but I don’t feel overwhelmed (too much)with keeping up with dust removal as I did with my upright!If you are having any doubts in this unit, I say go for it! So far I am loving it!

checked out a lot of recommended built in vacuums before settling on this one, never heard of the name before but read the reviews on here and felt reassured this was a good choice. AMAZING, this built in is exactly what I was hoping it would be and more. Have it installed in the garage so it can't be heard in the house, but even when its on and I'm doing work in the garage I don't find it disturbing, it doesn't startle me when activated and not so loud that it makes me want to end the task I'm doing. the suction is on another level compared to the Miele vacuum we replaced this with and because the house we moved into had the central vac already installed connecting this was a breeze, already have the in-laws buying this same model because of how great it is. some people don't like the 3 second ramp up of the motor before starting and the 3sec delay after shutting it off, personally I love knowing that I'm prolonging the life of my motor and keeping my lines clean buy this feature. for me its not an issue considering that the hose comes with a on/off switch on the handle so that i can start the shut off before disconnecting the hose from the wall. LOVE THIS THING, such an amazing kit

I received the vacuum system to replace a 10 year old nutone system that died. Before replacing, I tried nutone customer service and got the cold shoulder. I looked into the part cost if I tried it without their help and found that replacing with a new OVO system would cost me about the same as replacing a couple suspect parts on the nutone.The unit arrived very well packaged in two days. I don't think even the mail system could damage it with how well it was packaged.Installation took me about 1 1/2 hours. I had to move the piping since the old unit had input on the side and the OVO has the input on the top but that is relatively easy. Directions provided were clear though they were not really even needed due to how simple it is.First impressions were very good using the vac. The suction is much, much better than my old system.However, I did find that the system would stop after running for awhile and start back up on it's own. I got ahold of OVO customer service on a Friday night. Amazingly, they responded right away. After talking with them we determined that the issue was in the low voltage. We checked the unit and found no issues. We found the issue in my old nutone hose. Resistance was high in the slip ring for the low voltage. I cleaned and adjusted the slip ring and now it works perfectly. The on/off circuit in the OVO must be more sensitive than the nutone. OVO customer service followed up, even on a Saturday.I highly recommend this product and company. I'm buying a new set of OVO accessories as well!

Bought this to replace a 20 yr old beam after doing quite a bit of research. Suction is much better on this unit than what we had before, and comparable to much more expensive units (you can look up which ones use the same motor). Installation was quite easy and just required a bit of pipe/fittings to hook up the existing piping to the unit (fyi, intake is on the top, exhaust is on the left side of the unit if looking at it from the front). The mounting bracket was really easy to install as was the electrical (plug into wall socket + connect two wires from existing system into the unit). Overall it took around 1 hour to get the old unit out and this one in.Suction is very good, noise level as well (quieter than our old one (edit: A LOT quieter) but a lot more powerful... And our old unit had an external muffler!). Having the suction come on gradually is likely going to make the motor last a bit longer and the extra time it runs after you shut it off (about 3seconds) are nice to make sure the hose is empty of debris. It does take a bit of getting used to as it still runs a bit when you shut it off but i really like the feature.The warranty on this unit is 10 years but 1 year for parts and labour but we got a pamphlet in the box selling an extension on the parts and labour to 10 years for 50$ so that might be worth it for some.The manual does state that the motor will need servicing at 500 hours (typical for these types of vacuums i think) but that should be quite a bit more than 10 years of use.As for the accessory kit (we bought the carpet+deluxe 30ft) it was quite an upgrade from the existing ones we had. The hose is a lot less stiff and allows us to go a bit further than before. It does seem quite resistant though. For those wondering, it is not just and on/off switch on the hose but vacuum/off/vacuum+beater 3-way switch. The accessories are very nice brushes and don't seem too abrasive. Everything clicks or fits in nicely, the suction bypass is well built and out of the way. I was impressed with the build quality.As for the carpet beater it is a Johnny Vac model PN33 (brush on/off foot-button on the beater itself), can be locked at 90 degrees (upright), 6 depth adjustments and has a good range of motion in terms of tilting left/right, forward/back. The only improvement i would like is a better indication of what depth level to use (the descriptions are for level 1 and 6 and quite vague so you kind of guess where it should be).One small detail, i did not receive the accessory bag but i'm not even sure I want/need it so not a big deal for me, i may contact them if i make up my mind.Overall great vacuum/hose/accessory combo, much less expensive than comparable models (and less than half price compared to them with the amazon prime deal!). I even suggested my parents buy the hose/accessory combo to replace their old ones.
