Retention is good and it is resizable for various belt widths. Used it in a recent qualification and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. You don't really want frills with a mag pouch.

Can fit a magazine for left or right handed set up. Fairly easy to adjust retention to what you desire. It fits a 13 and 15 round magazine. Fits on a regular black leather belt but i haven't tried it using a tactical one. I haven't dropped and magazine when upside down or running.

Very well made. A little tricky getting used to the belt release clip but overall a solid product.

I should have ordered 2 of these! These are well made and I'm sure will last forever. I wanted the hard plastic style and glad I chose this item. In fact I am going to order another one

I purchased a previous magazine pouch that had amazing reviews but I failed to read it was for a 1.5 - 2 duty belt.I got this one today and again it did not fit. However, it comes with spacers located on the inside of the locking mechanism, that can be removed so this belt became more universal then I thought. After the spacers were removed (simply just pull up on them with a lil force and they'll pop out) the belt fit perfect.Sturdy and looks sleek, very happy.

Perfectly adequate for EDC, whether it's for single or double-stack mags, a simple adjustment of one screw is the only thing required. So far, tested with P320/M17/M18 mags 10-21 rounds capacity, P226 10,15 and 18 round capacity and Springfield Prodigy 17 and 20 round double stack magazines. All fit, stay in place when required and easily extractable when needed. The belt attachment feels pretty secure, the whole unit seems pretty sturdy. Not the prettiest looking, but is does the job well. Not the cheapest, but not horribly expensive, a solid performer.

Although it doesn't say here on Amazon, this version does indeed fit Browning Hi-Power 9mm magazines. I had to ask the question here, and Blade-Tech never answered. Their compatibility chart shows a "9-40" version for the BHP but that does not seem to be listed or mentioned here.I have one from years ago that was made specifically to fit the BHP mags and it is a little shorter than the new one but functionally there is not much difference. I did need to screw the tension down for it to securely hold the mags. I suspect that would be the case for most all of these various mag types. It's secure and works smoothly now.Overall a good carrier. I just wish the Amazon listing was a little more descriptive on what mags work with it.

First Impression: 5 starsDurability: time will tellFirst of all, I love the Blade Tech Tech-Lok belt clip... all the convenience of a paddle style, with the security of a traditional belt loop attachment. As for the mag pouch itself, the Blade Tech is a little different from other styles I have owned, but so far, I like it a lot. The retention mechanism is basically a rear plate (less rigid than the frame), that is not attached to the sides of the mag pouch frame, and puts tension on the rear of the mags. It holds the mags securely, and allows them to be removed quickly and smoothly. I can't comment on the durability of this setup yet, but hopefully it will provide many years of service. Time will tell. I am a little concerned that if I leave it in a hot car or something, and simply over time, the plastic on the thinner back plate might warp, but i think more than likely, it will be fine.
