This product was just as described. and put in my huge camphor tree trunk overlooking the front yard. It is so sturdy and feels like it would be way more expensive. The owl adds a little cuteness to my garden. The quality of the steel will require no maintenance or upkeep. I’m happy with this purchase.

I have several metal bird pieces on my deck, including one of a woodpecker. I remember how confused the squirrels looked when they first encountered it near a bird feeder. This owl will be the largest in my collection. While the others are nailed or screwed into the wooden rails and posts on my deck, this owl is designed to be affixed to a tree or thick post, using a hammer. The tip is sharp and when the owl arrived the tip was thoughtfully covered with a piece of plastic to prevent injury. The package itself was just a flat box with the metal owl wrapped in bubble wrap. The owl arrived unscathed. There was no information at all on the manufacturer or seller, not even a "thank you for your purchase."Overall I am happy with this item and can't wait to hammer it into a tree in my yard, awaiting the response of the squirrels.

This is a nice little black metal owl. It’s my second one of a similar design. It is about life-sized. The black seems solid on the metal beneath, but time will tell. My previous purchase has been outside for about 2 months without issue. There are no issues hammering this into a dead tree that still has hard wood. Use a rubber mallet to protect the paint. Looks good!Finding the perfect place is the hardest part, as the black does blend into a wooded background and it can be missed. If in front of a wall or house or something of light color and it will stand out beautifully.

Very good quality this owl looks better and is the same quality of other brands that cost double the price.
