I ordered these because I planned to do more welding projects and I thought they would come in handy. They did - right away! I needed to weld 2 sections of tube together and these clamps held them in place perfectly! Without clamping the piece my welding wouldn't have been nearly as accurate, and this project was one that required accuracy as the tube needed to be centered in a hole with about 1/8" gap surrounding the tube and needed to be at a precise angle to be flush with the surface. I don't think i could have done it without these clamps.The only issue I had was when removing the clamps, and that was a setup issue because of my inexperience. I had the tube's pushed together pretty tightly when I clamped them so one of the clamps was difficult to remove after tack welding. I ended up using a hammer to help force the clamp removal, which the clamp withstood with very minor damage. I'm very happy with these.
