Mon 7/08/2024 6:57 pm. I've been using oscilloscopes since around 1980, and I got another Owon scope (pds6062 2 channels) around 2009 what *does* have a battery, although I've never actually used the battery but it might come in handy someday.So, sadly the amazon product page for this 4-channel SDS1104 scope says its "Power Source Battery Powered" but I'm pretty sure it isn't, and the specifications below on the page say "Power Supply 100V-240V AC,50/60Hz" -- nothing about a battery.It seems like a very nice instrument and I don't know if I'll actually be able to *use* the 4 channels -- for which four probes were provided with my unit -- but it'd be handy if I need it....

I purchased an expensive 4-channel oscilloscope that work fine for a time. Then I contacted Owon customer service. They asked for a picture and video which I sent that same day. After a week I heard nothing and contacted them again, and they asked me to resend, which I did immediately. Nothing for another week, I emailed again. They asked me to upload the pic and video to a 3rd party server, which I did immediately. Another week, emailed again, and I was asked to upload again, which I did. That was 3 weeks ago. Checking the 3rd party server, no one ever downloaded the pic and video. WORTHLESS SERVICE. You better hope nothing goes wrong with their product, otherwise you've wasted you money.

This is a great oscilloscope for a great price. The screen is very big and clear. It is fantastic for beginners because the owner’s manual is very complete and contains a lot of information. To my surprise, the owner’s manual is actually written in good english.The reason I gave it four stars is because it came with a European style plug and a super cheap North American wall adapter. It wasn’t a huge issue because it is the same plug as a standard desktop computer power plug.This is a great oscilloscope and I would definitely recommend.
