Nothing to do with the solenoid, but no clue as to why a three wire setup, pull, and hold? It's for a choke and not a diesel shut off.

used for woods mower. slight modification repaced a hard to find original part. Worth the extra money. Don't waste your money on cheap Chinese copies for this application.
