Your cart is empty.The PAC IGN-3 Latching Phantom Ignition Module offers 2 main functions to ease installation of aftermarket electronic accessories in today’s vehicles with CANbus and those with engine stop start technology. The Power-off-delay feature provides consistent accessory power during varying vehicle conditions, such as engine shutdown at a red light or alternator disengagement while driving. This feature is essential for vehicles with stop-start technology! The Power-off-delay function has 2 selectable settings: 10 seconds, for typical stop-start use, and an extended power-off mode where power is provided for 140 seconds before it is turned off. If the 10-second “power buffer” isn’t enough for your installation, simply cut the brown loop wire, and the IGN-3 will provide accessory power for 140 seconds after the engine or alternator turns off.

I own a 22 CX-30 and there is no ACC on the interior fuse box so I bought this so that my dashcam would turn off automatically when I shut my car off but it ended up killing my car battery and I had to replace it.

Works as advertised/expected in a 2021 Mazda CX-30. Allowed me to install a dashcam with a hardwire kit and get parking mode working as intended.

Of note, if using a battery tender / trickler, it will start your accessories (radio in my case), and then shut off as the power drains...then turn on when the voltage rises. Works great during the normal course of driving without the tender. They should engineer the switch to 13v+ or similar to emulate alternator / generator power. Believe the cut-off is set too low for battery tenders. Otherwise, I would recommend for those vehicles not having a dedicated 12v+ and/or ACC wire for their aftermarket device. Pro-tip: manually turn off your accessory before this unit's power terminates. This will inhibit the accessory from turning on again when the power rises (if on a tender).
