If you own a 2008 Toyota Solara with Navigation and you want to update the system you are wasting your time with this product. It is not compatible with the vehicle, or the JBL navigation wiring harness in that it does not provide the proper N8 connector to retain the bluetooth microphone (Toyota connector 90980-12404), or R5 connector to retain the parking brake switch, combination meter, and backup light switch (Toyota connector 90980-11909). The PAC RP4.2-TY11 also does not retain the steering wheel controls as advertised. The Toyota SWC has three wires that run from the R6 connector (90980-12460), using pins 6,7, 8, but only provide two outputs to the radio, when all radios require three or four to function (SWG, SW1, SW2 with some adding an additional GRN connector).I know that some have had success replacing their non-nav radios in their Highlanders, but this is not compatible with any 06-08 Toyota with the JBL navigation system, in spite of their misleading marketing or claims. For $100+ one should expect a more reliable, plug-and-play solution.

Really, really pleased with this product. I ordered a very cheap double din radio for my 2006 tundra with the JBL option. I naïvely thought it would be a simple plug and play purchase. Boy was I wrong. I found the RadioPro4 in my research as the best in interface between a new radio and my truck. I will say I was extraordinarily intimidated at first by all the wires and connections. The YouTube videos on how to install this product made it a lot less intimidating. And once you connect all the speaker wires there are a lot fewer wires to be stressing about and as long as you take your time, you can do it at home just fine. What really made this a five star product for me, though, was the customer service. I was having issues with the steering wheel controls. I called PAC’s customer service line and the rep was outstanding. He told me the proper switch settings, which wires I didn’t need to use, and walked me through troubleshooting the voltage of each of the steering wheel buttons with a voltmeter. Based on the voltmeter readings, he had me make a couple of adjustments on the RadioPro electronic interface and voila - steering wheel controls and all other functionality ready to go. Never would’ve figured it out by myself and the guy on the other end of the line made it super easy to troubleshoot. This product turned by old truck into the coolest ride in our household thanks to a touchscreen stereo with CarPlay.

As much as the generic media player i used it on, but works well, allowing the retainment of several OEM functions.Installed a PLZ 7" android auto system in a 2010 prius. Worked well in allowing the use of steering wheel controls. Couldn't retain the use of the OEM rearview camera, but I believe that's because the OEM camera runs on 6v instead of 12v.

It’s a good product but it kind of misled me. This did not work for my JBL 2008. Sienna just really have to check and make sure this works. Otherwise it’s a great product.

Replaced the JBL head unit in my wifes 2011 Venza and this worked perfect. You can still use fader front to back and left to right. Also kept the steering wheel controls. Only thing was it came with older instructions that didn't really clarify how to connect steering wheel control wires. (Missing 1 wire color connection) After going onto there website and looking up the model, the proper updated instructions were found. The swc ground wire is already grounded so no need to worry about that. Just connect key1 & key2 wire to proper vehicle harness wires and you should be ready to go. That was the only confusing part but ended up being so simple in the end. I Overthought it! Lol Oh and make sure the little plug is in the unit good. I had to pull head unit back out a few days later after losing sound to some speakers. I ended up just pushing the little plug on the side of the module in a little more and problem solved..

It works just as advertised. I even bought mine "used" on Amazon for a fraction of the price and it arrived in original packaging basically open box. Model PAC RP4.2-TY11 Radiopro4 Ty11. My application is for 2005 Toyota Solara with factory JBL amp. I chose this model harness because it includes connections for steering wheel controls and fader. The wiring looks menacing, at first. 4 page Instructions walk you through it but appear to have been written with a professional installer as an audience. Some tips: ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME FOR THIS INSTALL. On a day prior to the install, familiarize yourself with all the terminals of the harness (they are labelled) and read the instructions, every word, over and over until it's totally clear to you. They are detailed and somewhat complicated. But it's totally doable. Call PAC tech support if it's not clear. There are a few unused terminals which you will need to insulate (I used heat shrink tubing, but electrical tape would work). Alow at least 1 hour to connect the wiring from this harness to the harness provided with your radio (I used and strongly recommend Posi-Products screw type reusable quick connectors). During the install, test every feature prior to reassembling the dash. Really, the install into the vehicle was the easy part. I am 51 and this was my first install since the 1980s. I pulled it off, so can you.

I used this interface for My Lexus Xr 330 2006 no JBL and No Navigation, is not easy as it looks , but work once you figure it out,Has everything, Bypass the analog amplifier and retain SWC is already programed on the basic functions , select the dip switches than correspond to your aftermarket radio you will install and Separate the cables that you don't need, cut or caped and work plug and play.
