I received the item, read the instructions, and used it to apply a piece of laminate over a wood substrate. I was finished within a half-hour. This is the most amazing product for applying laminate over small areas. You must be careful to apply it straight. I peeled off one edge about 1/2", and got that applied straight. Then I just peeled the rest of the backing away as I went.Peeling off the top protective layer was tough. I used a utility knife to separate the adhesive from the protective layer in a corner, and it was easy after that. You just need to get everything on straight. You don't get a second chance.I wanted to avoid the mess and fumes of contact adhesive. I would not use this for anything which ungoes much force. It's too thin. 3M has much better products for that. This product is excellent for laminating, veneering and as cold-mounting film.

These have been great for affixing custom decals to vehicles. Very thin and we can easily trim with a razor blade.
