On my older Ford Expedition, without a proper working brake light switch, I was unable to shift out of park. Fun times. This switch fixed that issue. The old switch isn't fun to get out as it's waaay underneath the dashboard on the upper part of the pedal arm. And you will most likely break the old switch clips getting it out. But hey, if the old one is broke, dont worry about it. The price is outstanding when compared to the price of an OEM Motorcraft. Let's hope there not a reason for that and this new switch last as long as the original did. For now, I am giving it a recommend simply for working and allowing me to shift and drive the truck and its low price.
