I wanted to use this as a way to hold my insulation into place along the ceiling of my shed. The material was super sturdy (kind of) but just not in the way I needed it to be or in the way I used it. I needed to cut these into 26” long rstrips and then needed to attach it to the wood with a stapler. The problem was when you tried to cut it with a knife or scissors, the dang thing split in 3 strips…EVERY SINGLE TIME! Same thing happened when I tried to staple it to the wood…EVERY SINGLE TIME. Then, when I tried to pull the dang thing from the staple after it split, I could not get it to tear. Sooooooo, it probably is an excellent product when used with the proper attachments, just not in the way I needed or wanted to use it.

Seams to hold up to the tensile strength, but shreadds out of splits extremely easy.

Banding ratchets don't bite into the tougher banding as well so they don't play nice together. But that's kind of a good thing... its tensile strength is very impressive.Less important to me as convenience of use so i'll be going with the trusty 3m next time but this will make for a good backup if i run out.

I was even able to use this with a wraparound metal buckle rather than the crimped metal seals and it stayed strong (although it was a little challenging to get on the buckle). This will hold together some really heavy items. It worked well with a tensioner and was able to be cut with a pair of diagonal cutters using an appropriate level of compression to get through it. The level of strength I needed to compress the cutters indicates the strapping will stand up very well to scrapes and not easily tear - it is strong!
