The cable is of decent quality, comparable to these in local stores. You may or may not find better prices locally. Cable replacement is one of the most DIY repair for the garage door. It's fairly easy if you understand how it works. The cable often break at the hook/loop end of the cable at bottom of garage door. Often caused by excess water at the corners. Best deal with the root cause when replacing the cable.

My garage door has cables like these and the left side is starting to fray, so I snatched these up for when it gets worse. These cables are around 20% thicker than the ones on it and I'm sure they will do fine. I won't be able to give a first-hand account until I need to install them; if they hold up through the winter, I'll give it a go come spring and update this if there are issues.

Good product, as described. It fit my 7x16 garage door as it should. Not so easy to install, but that's just the nature of this task and nothing against the product at all.
