This is a much smarter way of using magnets than cutting off pieces from old magnet business cards (which I’ve done a lot) or cutting off a slice from a roll of magnetic tape. I love that I can peel and stick a red magnet on one surface and a blue magnet on another surface so the two objects will “magnetize” together. Works for all kinds of applications, whether in the garage, kitchen, office, or for arts and crafts. This little box of magnets contains 18 paired 1” x 1” magnets. Super handy!

I ordered these magnetic squares in an effort to make a few small items able to magnetically attach to my front door and refrigerator (i.e. a little thermal printer, and a little desktop calendar, etc). Both the magnetic and adhesive strength totally suck. I’ve used products like this in the past to hang the exact same items described above and had mostly success and minimal issues. The price is higher than average compared to similar packs of adhesive magnets in size/quantity on Amazon ($20 for 36 ct. magnets/18 ct. pairs with a 22% coupon available at the time of writing this review). Overall, these were super disappointing and I don’t recommend unless you are hanging up sometimes extremely light (i.e. a few sheets of paper, maybe).

These things are well made and have a good bit of holding power. I used them on the refrigerator to hold some lightweight frames that have grandchildren's artwork in them. They are thicker than most that I have found in the past and yet they are soft and thus don't scratch the surface of the appliance. Very useful.

Really interesting product...36 1-inch square magnets. If you don't take the red or blue paper off the sticky back, they can be used individually to stick coupons to your fridge or hang notes on a metal bulletin board or so on. The interesting thing is that the ones with the blue paper are attracted to the ones with the red paper. So, I have a corkboard that I don't want to use screws to mount to my walls...I am going to peel off the backing paper of several of the blue backed magnets, to expose the 3M adhesive, and stick them to the back of the bulletin board. Then I am going to mate a red backed magnet to each of the blue ones, peel off the backing paper, and stick it to the wall. No screws required! I'm sure I will come up with other applications as well, like sticking a blue one to the back of the TV remote and a red one to the side of a coffee table...no more lost remote!

I've never had any luck using this type of magnet. They're always so weak that they're unusable. Not these. These are much stronger than the roll of stick-on magnets you find at the hardware store. The tape is strong too so they can hold some decent weight. These come with a lot of pre-cut magnets in the package. A good value.
