The base of the PST7 is CuSn8 bronze derived from the legendary 2002 series. The cymbal is lathed by Swiss artisans, to achieve its unique traditional look and finish. The PST7 has a wide range of different music styles by offering a warm, whole, clear sound as well as three weight classes, light/thin, medium, heavy.

I love Paiste cymbals, I’ve always did my best to play them any time I’m behind the kit. The PST7 lineup has been nothing short of an amazing product for an amazing price, but consistency in durability is what I can’t quite get down. I ordered this particular china on May 5th and received it May 14th and have used it a handful of times since then for videos I post. The china I had before this one, is the exact same brand, model, and size and I have been hitting that cymbal for over a year. What concerns me is that I have been playing on this china from this music store for a month and it cracked along the bearing edge. The way I play drums has not changed at all, the tension of the cymbal topper has not changed at all, and ratio at which I hit the cymbal is no different than before, so I’m confused as to why this china would give way within a month compared to the previous china that withstood a beating for a year. This isn’t to say I’ll never buy another PST7 china because it still sounds like a top tier B20 cymbal, but I think I’m going to start buying my cymbals outside of Amazon.
