Large, sturdy, handy for help with the ashes from the fireplace, doesn't show dirt, cleans up well, looks all shiny and new, even though, 'its been in the fire' priced right., tks, Amazon, for another great product, also acts as a container for my whisk broom, fire starter, etc, etc, perfect!

just what I wanted.unfortunately, the sticker that was placed on it, doesn't come off easily at all. I'm not sure how to get it off without removing the finish.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Appears to be very sturdy in its construction. I was worried about ordering one of these online and getting something flimsy that wouldn't hold up for a ling period of time. But with this product my worries were unfounded.I'm also very happy about the color of the product. I wanted something black and the picture appeared to be a blueish black color. But once it arrived it was the perfect shade. I would definitely purchase this again.

So how excited can you get about a Coal Hod (pail) for the fireplace?We wanted a container that looked interesting/had a classic look - and could hold/hide fireplace odds and ends like fire starters, matches/gas lighters, etc. This item fits the bill and for a reasonable price. In a pinch you could use it to hold (cleanup) ashes because it's safely metal.

This item is pretty much what I expected. I have another one that I bought at Home Depot but could not find the same thing there this year. The Home Depot one has a more substantial black handle, which makes carrying easier. I wish this one did too. Otherwise it is fine for my use, which is for kindling near my wood fireplace.

This is the best type of bucket to pour wood pellets into my pellet stove. I tried a regular bucket, but the pellets had a tendency to run onto the door lip, and the lid would not close unless it was cleaned with a brush. It became an extra step that I did not want to bother with. The Coal Hod has a great pouring lip that directs the pellets into the narrow lid of the hopper. I was so happy with the first one that I bought a second one, that way, I could empty a 40 pound bag of pellets into the two Hods. Dumping the bag directly was a problem, because the plastic bag would deflect and send pellets all over the floor. The Hod method was much easier for my wife, and daughter to add pellets also. The price was reasonable, and delivery was quick. Thanks Amazon!

We use this to hold pellets for our pellet stove. It holds about half of a 40 lb bag, and makes it so much easier for me to lift the pellets up to chest level to feed them into the stove. The lip is designed just right to prevent spills, and looks nice enough to sit in the living room next to the fireplace all winter long.

I received the Panacea Fireplace Hod on time and in perfect condition. It was exactly what I expected. I have a pellot stove and it is large enough to hold a generous amount of pellots. Enough to fill my hopper twice, saving me a trip to the garage. If you are looking for a nice, large hod, this is the one you need.
