Straps are too short for use with my recliner. I expected the arm rests to be softer being memory foam but there is almost no give to it, feels more like cardboard with a thin layer of memory foam. Unzipping it and looking at what is inside it is a block of extra firm memory foam. It barely compresses when squeezing it with one hand. Would had been better if it was jell foam or a softer memory foam.On the plus side the outer layer is soft and does have a zipper to remove it for washing, I'll find some soft memory foam or something to replace the memory foam that came with it and buy some Velcro straps to make the straps longer. I don't know why they made it with buckles (ok I suppose it does give more leverage for tightening the straps) as they show in the ad pictures as cutting off the "extra" length. They could have left off the buckles and made the straps longer and on both sides of the arm rest to cross each other. Or made the straps at least twice as long then they are.
