This portable, rechargable battery operated outdoor misting fan by PANERGY is not just for the outdoors. Since winter has just recently receeded, we have not had a chance to thoroughly try out the misting feature except to test, but we have definitely used (and love) this very hearty fan indoors. With a massive 30,000 mah battery, this fan lasts a LONG time between charges. My wife is never without a fan pushing relentless amounts of moving air across her face. I have gotten her more fans of all different types to keep her sane than I care to enumerate. When I gave her this fan, just expecting her to be using it with the misting feature on our back yard deck in the heat of the summer sun, she was thrilled. To my surprise, she immediately plopped it on the bed next to her and instantly fell in love with it's quiet yet powerful air flow. The fact that it is cordless means that she can set it on the bed between us pointed at her without a cord being in the way. This fan with it's oscillating 4 speed operation has replaced all of her little personal fans that she usually keeps trained on her face and neck most every minute of the day (I exaggerate a bit, but not much!). She absolutely loves it and will probably love it even more when she gets a chance to use it ouside with the misting feature. She absolutely loves this fan. I love it too, but for a different reason. Personally, I hate air blowing on me unless it's swelteringly hot, so when we are in our always frigid, air conditioned home, I detest the ceiling fan dumping masses of air on me while we are watching TV or whatever. Since giving her this fan, she can now direct it's very substantial air flow directly on her and pointed away from me. I love it!On the misting feature, This fan sits on top of a bucket to draw water in from the bucket with a tube. We have not used it yet, but I went to the local big box store and bought a food grade 5 gallon bucket for under $10 with a lid. I drilled a small hole in the lid for the tube to be dropped into the water.
