Great lanterns, the pale colors faded quickly in direct sunlight though. I had 12 of these hanging over our pool and they all held up well to being outside over the summer. I highly recommend paying a little extra and getting these nylon made ones.

I have had a pair of the 18" ones for around 6 years now, and they've held up admirably. The one thing that has started to fail is the solder joint where the "c" holds the cord to the rest of the metal piece. Overall, for the price, very well made... and it's great to have lanterns you can use in rainstorms without worrying about them getting wet.
