Hope to never need use of it, but am glad I purchased on a just in case something should happen. Purchased 1 for each 1 of my adult children's homes. We are all about proper safety protocols, and a fire retardant blanket is safer in my opinion than having to service extinguishers every 6 months to 1 year and cheaper as well.

Parcil Distribution SB-500 Large Silicone Coated Emergency Fire Extinguisher Blanket:I am aware that fire blankets can be made without the fiberglass mess and pieces stuck in fingers and now I have one. The orange coating does work and is worth the extra cost.Opening the velcro flap and touching the blanket was a big surprise. All the other blanket reviews mention fiberglass all over the place and stuck in fingers. NOT with this model. Don't know why all blankets are not coated.Only a smooth surface with no pieces of fiberglass. Hope it works. . .

A joke: by right. When my home on fire. This fire blanket is big enough to cover that fire. Of course dim it down first with a pail of fire. Hopefully need not find out it work. Please don’t give me a house fire.
