Count Splines/Notches
Remove the crank and inspect the bottom bracket shell for tool fittings, which can be notches or indentations on the outer perimeter, splines on the inside perimeter, or pin holes on the face. Count the number of tool fittings on the cup.
Measure Diameter
Next use a caliper to measure the diameter or width of the tool fittings. For external notches, simply measure the outer diameter of the bottom bracket cup or adapter. Take the measurement in millimeters.

Zunächst: In der Produktbeschreibung sollte "Unisex - Erwachsene" entfernt werden, das ist nämlich hier völlig unpassend. Auch mehrfarbig ist falsch, da es das Tool nur ein blau gibt. Einheitsgröße ist auch so eine Sache.Das Montagetool wird verwendet, um T47 Innenlager mit 12 Aussparungen zu montieren. Ich habe es für ein Chris King Innenlager verwendet, da das Werkzeug von CK nicht lieferbar war. Park Tool passt allerdings ebenfalls perfekt. Zusätzlich habe ich noch das Park Tool BBT-RS dazu gekauft, das mit dem BBT-47-12 (u. a.) kombiniert werden kann. Damit wird ein Abrutschen auf dem sehr schmalen Außenring von T47-i Lagern unmöglich. Es geht freilich auch ohne das BBT-RS, aber sicher ist sicher.

Tool worked well to install mt Chris king bottom bracket, but the tool metal it pretty soft so it did scar up the teeth a bitWon’t be used often so should be fine

The picture is of a BBT-47 which is a two-sided tool, for 12 notch BBs on one side and 16 notch BBs on the other. The tool that is actually being sold is the BBT-47-12 which is only for 12 notch BBs, which are relatively uncommon. The 16 notch BBs are much more common and are what most people actually need. So if you have a Chris King or BBInfinite BB, then go ahead and order this, knowing that you are getting a one-sided tool that will only fit 12 notch BBs.

My *USED* version came with some slight marring to the teeth and I didn't want to risk damaging the bike I was working on. I ended up going a different direction with the build.
