It actually split my 50A circuit into two separate (L1 and L2) circuits which allowed me to use two 30A cords to feed my boat. You just need to be cautious to not overload the 30A cords and be mindful of running too many big appliances at once. Much easier to handle two 30A cords as apposed to the stupid heavy 50A cord.

Fits both boat and dock box like a glove. Seems very well made.

I am replacing a Marinco splitter and opted to go with this brand instead because it's so much cheaper. All good, and no issues thus far. Splitters and power cords burn up mainly because you don't have proper galvanic isolation on your boat. If this is happening to you, have a mechanic check for stray currents on your through hull fittings, and make sure you have proper grounding straps intact. Also, make sure you install locking rings on both side of the Y-connection, you don't want moisture intrusion. If you ever drop an end into sea water, make sure you rinse and dry before reconnecting.

It was much cheaper to buy a 50 amp splitter for the two 30 amp cords I already own. Now I can connect at any dock regardless of power supply.
