This feeder attaches to the side of the cage very easily with a washer and wing nut. You can fill it from the outside of the cage without disturbing your bird. It does have a nice cover to prevent it from getting dusty or anything like that. My finches have no trouble accessing the seed, and most of the chaff falls into the little drawer below the seed. It is easy and convenient! I was so happy with it that I ordered a second one for my other cage as well.

The quality and design of both pieces are significantly lacking. I attempted to use them for my canaries, but ultimately decided to return them. The water handle is curved in a way that does not align properly with the container, making it difficult to insert it into the cage effectively. Additionally, the slit in the seed dispenser is extremely narrow, which prevents the seeds from funneling through adequately. The seed plate is also too narrow and deep, making it challenging for my birds to reach the food.

This works really well. My finches figured it out very quickly and it's a good size for them. Larger birds may have trouble fitting in the front opening, however. It's easy to fill and the clear plastic allows me to see how much food is in it as well as being able to see the birds when they're eating.I haven't had any issues with seed hulls blocking the fresh seed. The grid where the hulls fall through works fine. I like that I can keep an eye on how much they are eating each day based on the hulls in the bottom tray. The slots that hold the removable tray are a bit narrow. The tray fits securely, but needs to be aligned carefully when replacing it. A slightly wider lip to fit in the slot would have made things easier.I also wish it were easier to remove the feeder for cleaning. You have to reach inside the cage and unscrew the bolt to remove it, which takes effort and distresses my finches.

I was very surprised that this product actually worked! Keep an eye on that tray to empty at the bottom of the feeder, because the seed hulls do get caught up in there instead of being all over the cage for your birds to flap their wings and throw out all over your house.If the trays become too full, when you pull them out, the hulls will spill out on your floor. Overall, I would buy this product again if I needed more than two feeders!

I received the bird feeder after a long wait for it to only be defective. The hole for the support screw wasn't drilled and the plastic casing itself is cracked. The item doesn't qualify for returns so now i'm back where I started but with less money. I'd like a refund !

We order these when a rose ring parakeet hit our side window and survived. We were scraping together what we could to make her comfortable. The birds are built like a small parrot so we thought these items would be a good fit. The feeder was ok. The bird will make a mess despite the complicated design. The watering container had potential but did not fit any of the cages we used while she was healing. Now we found a large two by two by five parrot cage and neither were able to fit. I would definitely give it more thought before purchasing the no mess feeder and waterer
