After a mechanic replaced the Air Valve the car was still throwing code for Leaking Secondary Air Valve P2440 even though everything now seemed to function properly. Found out the computer measures the air pressure in the line and if its too low shows this code. The after market air pump which was not too old couldn't deliver enough pressure. This new ACdelco pump worked great and bolted in with no problem. I had to find the part number for this on a GM look-up site as it wasn't easy to find the right application for this car through AMAZON.

I have a 2003 9-3 Saab, You need to change some things to make it fit good, but nothing to worry about if you know what are you doing, this one works great and turn my "check engine" light off, that was the only two things that i was worry about.

2008 Cobalt, 2.2LS, 55k miles. Code P0411. Check 40 amp fuse first. Location clearly marked on back of fuse box cover "Air Injection Pump" or something like that, can't remember exactly. It's green and cost about $7 bucks so you don't want to blow too many of these bad boys. Anyway if it's blown then it's a pretty good chance you'll need this pump. This job is a piece of cake on a lift, if you do it lying on your back like I did then it's a bit more of a challange. It's located on the front of the motor block between the A/C compressor & the starter. The hardest part is disconnecting the air tubes. Best way, for me anyway, disconnect electrical connector, then the 3 bolts and let the pump drop down enough to get your hand on the pipes, sqeeze and pull and it'll drop right out. If you find water dripping from the old pump then you can be assured that it's shot. But that also means that your EGR (air diverter) valve is probably bad too. If you don't replace it soon, your new pump won't last very long. When installing I put a very light coat of grease on the air tube connectors, they snapped back on with a "click" to let you know they're seated properly. Re-install the 3 mounting bolts with a little anti-seize on the threads, plug in the electrical connector with a little dielectric grease & you're good to go. BTW don't forget to install the new fuse if you needed one.

This is the complete factory replacement part. All you have to do is attach the hoses, the electrical connection and attach it with the three bolts.I did it on a creeper with jack stands,a jack,10mm socket and ratchet.Less than 60 minutes, done!I started looking for it and found that it was out of stock everywhere and priced at a higher price than at amazon.comI checked on the shipping times and saw that it would take one day more than if I bought it at a local part store.buying it at amazon saved me over 40% of the part store pricesI placed my order and on the third day the order arrived.I really did not lose any time due to shipping.don't hesitate if you need one, order with amazon.com and don't for get to check the air filter!

Had received the pump quickly but do to the poor packaging the metal housing that holds the vibration damper was broken off.Amazon was fast with a replacement but that came through with a broken electrical connector very bad packaging. I brought the packaging issue to there attention and they said they would work on it. I was able to swap the good electrical connector from the first damaged pump to make a good one; glad I didn't send it back right away.

Put the car up on ramps, put an old rug underneath and with a little time and patience, was able to change it. Took about an hour and a half. The challenge for me was disconnecting the hose connections of which there were 2. First I disconnected the battery since the starter was close by and did not want to short anything out. Then sprayed the 2 hose connections with a little WD40 and with a little prying with a screwdriver and some elbow grease, was able to separate the connections. There is an outside plastic clamp that slides over the pump connection, the wd40 and some prying got it off. Then its just a matter of 3 mounting bolts and disconnecting the power plug and it drops into your hands. The new one went in no problem. Held it in place and hand tightened the 3 mounting bolts, then made the 2 hose connections which just push together. You need a bit of force to get it on correctly. Then tightened the 3 mounting bolts, plugged in the power connecter and was done :-)). Saved many hundreds of dollars by ordering it here on Amazon and doing it myself. Oh and BTW the check engine light was off when I started the car for the first time after completing the job. So that was icing on the cake :-)))
