- Does it reverse at the same speed for lowering ------- Yes, same up as down. Not so fast either direction to ensure the safety.
- If I am using this to life a vehicle top do I need anything other than what comes with the lift? ------- You will probably need a sling. I would check vehicles web sites for others that made there own slings. I found mine on a Porsche site but was custom fit for the top.
- Can the stop button get stuck? ------- Stop button probably stuck. It comes with the panic button activated (red knob) twist to release and it will pop put.
- Does the lift automatically shut off when it reaches its maximum height? ------- Yes

Normal steel wire ropes are twisted with several thin steel ropes, item would be likely to rotate to the opposite side. For expamly, allwires originally are twisted to the left, then the ropes would be easy to rotate to the right way with the danger that the wires would be easy to twist off. That's why we remake it to be safer.

My husband bought this to safely put items used on occasion up above his paint booth. He is disabled & we don’t want to have to keep asking our son for help with heavy items like a fake Christmas tree, so my husband used this to make a lift & it works Perfectly!!! Would buy again, but believe we won’t need to as it has already been used to get belongings up where we need & he is able to do this independently!

The water level of my well dropped below the pump. Couldn't get well service because all well service companys busy with the drought in Ca. so I took care of it myself. I ran chains through the top brackets of this winch & attached hooks to fit over lip of my tractor's front end bucket. The bucket raises to about 11 feet. I used "rock climbing rope", which is extra strong, & tied to 2 inch PVC drop pipe using a "pipe hitch" knot. I used a kwick klamp to secure drop pipe while adding new sections of drop pipe. The winch worked great. Pump, pipe and water in the line was about 400 pounds. Winch didn't even break a sweat! Took about two hours working by myself and about $400.00 in equipment & materials. I saved about $1000.00 plus I have the equipment to do again should the water table continue to drop. The winch will come in handy for other projects!

Seems to have the power I needed. But, the control cable is two short. 12' ceiling with a 5' control cable doesn’t work as well as I'd like. Didn't buy the wireless controller because of the reviews. All the hoist of this size are produced in China. Not much to my liking.

Works well but I needed longer cords for my application. Had to use an extension cord for power and had to splice in extra length for control.

Comes with straps, so we were able to mount outside. Very handy, as we live on water that rises and falls. Makes quik work for lifting many every day items upstairs, as we are on stilts. Back saver, knee saver and all around ease maker.

This is a great little lift. I'm using it to bring up materials to my attic workshop. For this configuration I mounted it permanently in the rafters and have the wire run out a crane arm. The horizontal configuration works very well and there's no difficulty with it lifting things. The only trouble is that the wire spools up unevenly. I have to use a piece of scrap wood to help it wind without jumping or piling up on one side. This is likely due to the way I installed it and the forces not being perfectly perpendicular to the spool. Besides that it has saved me literally a hundred trips up my back steps with flooring, sheeting, and other heavy bulky aerials.

L'installation fut facile, rapide, le seul bémol est la longueur de la commande. En effet, quand tu descend de la mezzanine du garage, le 36 pouces de corde, lui reste à la mezzanine. J'ai ajouté 8 pieds afin de pouvoir m'en servir adéquatement. Il y aurait avantage pour Partsam d'avoir un kit de rallonge de disponible.Pour le reste, super.

We purchased this to install above a rack to hoist the lawn airator onto the garage rack. Install was a lot harder than anticipated. I worked to install this with my wife and we made it work but it would have been better had it been someone stronger or if we had installed it smarter. Trying to hold it above your head while the other person screws it to the beam was a very big struggle and it was almost dropped. Once installed, it worked great and we now can lift heavy items onto the rack. I think I will be buying another one for the garage attic. I highly recommend this product and am very pleased.

Works great, My only complaint is the control wiring is a bit short but I have it 18 feet in the air. I put in my barn using 2 tall Unistrut tracks to move it. Hoist lifts very well I had my 1500cc Motorcycle 8 feet in the air as a test. Moved lots up stuff to my upstairs to gain room below. As long as mounted secure the hoist itself lifts very well.I did make a c channel bracket and used 6 Unistrut trolleys to hold the weight capacity if I ever need to unload heavy items. Great back saver !!!
