The factory bulb that comes in these housings should be a 921NA amber bulb and these housings are designed for 194 clear bulbs. The issue is when you put a 921 bulb in these they overheat the amber dome inside the housings and melt the dome and subsequently burn out the bulb. If you put a 194 bulb in it you will get a “lamp out” warning light on your dash, they don’t have the correct resistance for the system.
