This is the 3rd bag of sponges I've bought over the last 2years they do a great job just remember they come shrink wrapped once out of the pack for 24hours they go back into shape

Will work in hot tube, cheaper then locally available products. From previous used products this does work however use lifecycle is less. Product begins to disintegrate.

My order came shrink wrapped, no problem right, wrong!As soon as I opened the package, I tried to separate the scum boats, they were so badly stuck to each other that, they tore into small pieces when trying to separate them. Never again.

This product is as advertised!! These little boats work so well. These photos were taken after I did a shock treatment in a Coleman inflatable hot tub. I left the boat overnight after the shock treatment and you can see that the boat absorbed everything! I highly recommend, and the price is very reasonable. I see a lot of negative reviews about them being vacuumed packed, but mine came that way as well. I will be purchasing these again in the future!!

FIRST- these work AMAZING! A MUST HAVE!!(We have a 16'×48" round pool)A lot of the reviews complained that after opening and separation, these do not take correct form and stay crumpled.I HAVE THE SOLUTION! Literally all you have to do after you open the bag and separate what you want to use, go over to your pool, submerge them in the water, squeeze a few times like you're holding a sponge- which you basically are- and gently start to pull the shape you purchased apart. Then just put them in the pool! It's Literally that simple! I did buy a smaller amount from a different brand prior to this. The only difference, besides quantity, is that these didn't fluff right up after opening the vacuum sealed bag. However, the quality is exactly the same!! We had a scum sponge that came with our pool, but it never did anything. These are the absolute best!! We live in Wisconsin. Weather is mostly nice. We do have a heater and like to keep our pool temp at about 90-92°f, so we do have to keep a closer eye to make sure we can keep the algae at bay. Not only that, but we have 2 young kiddos. I noticed before we had these, even with keeping the chemicals balanced the best we could, there would occasionally be a slimy feel. Haven't had that issue since buying these. Sooo, my recommendation is 100% yes! These are worth it!!

These work very well. They absorb a lot of body oils and suntan lotion from my pool water. I have seen complaints from about them not lasting. That’s the point. We throw in a couple after we swim for the day and they soak up the oils. Next time we swim, we take them out, throw them away and add a couple more after. That’s why it’s a pack of 40, not 4. It’ll last a good portion of the summer.

Don’t believe what the other lazy people say. They’re in a vacuum sealed bag. Just gently pull at the edges and they will take their shape! Easy!These are great. I read a review where he left them in the pool, floating, rather than buying the balls to absorb oils etc. That works great and they’re cheaper than the balls too! Great to clean the scum with and to float and absorb to cut down on cleanings!

I think these work, we let the kids into the hot tub with suncream on and there was a lot of excess oil in the hot tub, put these in and it cleared it up in a few days.However, they don't appear to be anything more than a shaped sponge. The other thing to note is after one use they go a weird brown colour and cannot be cleaned so they are one time use. Also to note if you have chlorine in there I wouldn't leave it in for more than a few days as they will start to fall apart and then you have the issue of getting all the broken down sponge out.Id also suggest removing them when the hot tub is in use as if you don't they seem to let some of the oils back out into the hot tub.Expensive for what they are, will probably use the ones we have and then buy some cheaper sponges but if you want them to be a specific shape and look a bit nicer then get them.
