These end caps continue to perform surprisingly well for how I’m using them, which is to attach the line of a fishing-wand-style cat toy to the rod (see photo.) I can whip the lure back and forth, and have yet to have a failure at the weld that attaches the bail/ring to the cap. I’d imagine they work comparably well for their intended use in leatherwork and jewelry, and I don’t have any hesitation recommending them.
