i have 3 inch exhaust out to these, in 3.5 inch tubes, and with a short 3 inch straight pipe after these inserts, they create a unique howling sound only in the upper rpm range.very unique and always a pleasure to hear.2007 cadillac cts V LS2

Have a hood stack on a TDI that had a bad drone and this fixed it. I actually had to cut off one of the baffles because it worked too well.

This augar with a turn-down on my 6.0L Suburban made the noise respectable again. I hate beating my eardrums. I have a 3 inch tube from header into one muffler and a single 3.5 inch outlet. There is a resonator after the axle hump. Observing with a spectrogram there were quite noticeable peaks tested at 1800, 2000, 2200 RPM. With the insert augar the peaks blended into the rest of the noise and no drone. The 3.5 inch augar is installed slightly into the resonator, through short tube and turn-down pipe. I was going to reinstall a Helmholtz filter I had on previously but this seems like it fixed the noise issue. I had to grind the augar to fit my pipe. Had to tap in with mallet. Painted with high temperature paint before install to help with rust prevention. I may have gotten lucky with the pipe length so it is at a resonant point.

Found these and they worked perfect!!! Once welded to a mounting bracket and painted to prevent rusting, install took only seconds! Exactly what I needed!!! Thank you!

Don’t even bother they’re ridiculous they f fall out and I put them in the try before a weld them but no joke after one ride they were already very rusty so welding these things in is completely useless because the little tack welds that they used to attach the curled part to that nice thick pipe is not gonna last long if there are rusting already after a June day of driving around town and not even getting wet they’re cheap and you don’t care but longevity or losing power because they’re extremely restrictive than there for you but they’re not a permanent fix whatsoever the same company makes a canister style that has like a baffle to it which is 100 times better than these were but again just from sitting in my garage for a couple days before I put them in they were starting to rust and also the welds on those somehow were backwards meaning one side was welded all the way around and the other side was tack welded and then the other one I got it was the total opposite and those were $50 for the set but there are hell of a lot better than these turbine things so if you absolutely need something I would highly suggest getting those baffles that looks more like a motorcycle kind of baffle but also they did not fit 3 inch I had to kind of bend the tabs open a little bit to make them snug and then I pulled them out because I thought ofAgain the longevity of them is not gonna last if they’re already starting to rust before they’re even installed what’s the point they’re gonna last a year and then I’m gonna have these welded things and my pipes that are falling apart so literally I just bought a new exhaust and gave up on the Mickey Mouse Band-Aids

I bought this based on very vague research on the internet. I wanted something to get rid of the drone while cruising around 2000-2500 rpm’s. Well with a little trimming and making a snug fit and a few tac welds and paint, it solved my issue. I’m amazed, and it saved me from having to get a new exhaust or go deaf.I want to revisit this review and say I purchased this at around 10bucks or so not too long ago. Now the price goes up about 10$ to almost 20 for a few good reviews? That don’t make no sense. I think that’s a @&$$&&$ scam to get your product to sit on the shelf fast!!! So it did work I would say take a smaller diameter pipe and weld smaller fin like metal around that and make your own. Seems logical since it may go up again in price cause someone else might buy it.

This auger worked great and still left a slight deep tone to my exhaust. Completely removed the dreaded 2k rpm drone from the aftermarket magnaflow exhaust in my truck. Highly recommend. It will completely get rid of the cabin drone throughout all rpm ranges.

I recently installed a dual 3.5 inch exhaust on my nissan titan and the drone was miserable. I love my truck but driving it felt like a chore. I put one of these in each tailpipe and it drastically reduced the drone and volume. They fit very snugly, in fact they required several firm hits with a hammer. Using a decibel meter app and these reduced my in car reading by 7 or 8 decibels. The only reason i knocked off a star is at higher rpms i can hear a whooshing noise from the exhaust now, but it's not overly noticeable. It probably wouldn't be an issue if i placed these farther up the exhaust system. Overall these work great!
