I'm using this in my garage for a quartet of chicks, and it's perfect. Yes, the wood is thin enough that you can see light from the LED bar shining through the back panel, but once it is assembled, it's plenty sturdy. I retrofitted mine with a plastic aquarium top with a built in light bar (because I happened to have had one handy.) And a warming pad for plants, (ditto. ) This are summer chicks in a warm climate. For different conditions, your mileage may vary.

I used this for Button Quail, for them it was decent. This would not be suitable for a rabbit, too small. Definitely would not hold up outside. I didn’t like the tray, so I don’t pull it out. It’s a tad too short so shavings come out the edges. For the money though, and if it’s going inside, it’s a decent option. I like that the lid lifts up. It smells strongly of cedar when first taken out of the box.

This Rabbit hutch is not a sensible hutch for my rabbit, because the aluminum tray has nowhere to go?? And the wood is the floor for the animals, what purpose would it serve anyway? There's no opening or grate below for the urine and feces to drop through,so the wood will get soaked with animal droppings in a couple of days, leading up corrosion and eventually garbage 🗑️☹️

I like the size and the design. It was hard for me to put together. I kept a small tortoise in it until it was big enough to put outside in a ground pen. Now the grandchildren want rabbits....

First I will say the seller had fast shipping. Aside from that, I cannot give a low enough rating for this raggedy a$$, rickety POS. What GARBAGE! The cardboard box it came in was constructed better! This thing has such paper thin wood, and by saying the wood on the back, sides and doors is 1/16 of an inch thick is being kind! Don’t take a hammer to it as you’ll put a hole straight through it! And, the door hinges were already on and were crooked, and the screws holding the hinges in were loose and when trying to tighten them, they were already stripped out! All the wood had gouges, cracks, chips and splits straight out of the box. Then let’s not forget the assembly instructions that are HORRID! First of all, it’s just a diagram, with no actual words, and the diagram is pi$$ poor! It has everything shown as labeled A, B & C and 1, 2, 3, BUT NONE OF THE PARTS ARE LABELED! 🤦🏼♀️ Not to mention, some of the holes are pre-drilled and some are not, and the ones that are not, split and splinter as soon as you try to run the screws provided into it. And then there is no grating for the birds to stand on. I guess they’re just supposed to stand in their fecal, not to mention that every freaking bird would have to be taken out every time you change the tray! How stupid! We ended up fashioning a bottom out of 1/2 inch poultry netting for our quails. And boy was that fun trying to affix that in with the cheap $hi++y, thin wood on the back and sides. Couldn’t use screws, we tried staples..nope, it was too thin to hold. We ended up having to drill some holes and run zip strips through to hold it. I am beyond disgusted over the atrocious construction! The manufacturers of this product should slap themselves and go stand in a corner for time out for selling such a piece of crap, AND for asking such an exorbitant price for something that had better quality packaging than the product itself. So… moral of the story? Don’t buy this pile of dog crap.

If I had paid for this I’d have been very mad (so people don’t have to read a lot I’ll explain at the end)= the instructions are pictures which might be good for some people but when the pieces aren’t really labeled it makes things harder for me so I spent ages trying to understand what went where(if you are a visual learner this would be great for you) even after that the pieces still don’t fully fit together so there are large gaps and it just isn’t very sturdy. The doors use the same wood so in order to open either of them you have to open them both which if you are trying to remove one rabbit from the front at a time would be very hard. Also no wire bottom so the pull out tray leaves a large gap that is more then I anticipated. The gaps are big enough snakes could definitely fit in which for me living in the woods is definitely an issue. If it was cheaper (say 70$) I’d say it was great but for the price it just seems flimsy. =To explain I asked for a refund because they didn’t ship the product when they said so it wasn’t here near the time I needed it, however they still wound up shipping it to me. I explained to amazon that they could call Fedex and I’d leave it out for pickup but I wasn’t going to sit for an hour on the phone to do it myself (Fedex has less people due to covid which is understandable) and amazon decided to just let me keep it rather then call themselves either. I appreciate their kindness and help but the product itself still is very poor quality for the price range. Maybe I just got a bad apple but I’d still be carful and maybe pick a different cage out if you want a good quality for outside.
