I have been using the PBYMT Detachable Passenger Quick Release Sissy Bar for the past few years. Easy install and removal when needed. My wife is 5'9" and she felt secure at all times during our rides. The backrest matches my stock HD seat so that was a plus.

It fitted my road glide like a glove and you can’t deferentiate it from the original,Note* you need a sissy bar to install it on your bike , consider getting a sissy bar with it

The product arrived on time. The packaging is great, the cardboard carton was heavy duty, the foam padding protecting the item was excellent. Fit and finish is OEM quality, Easy to install with no complaints.

Yes it’s cheaper than Harley’s version but jeez you can tell. First the spring on one of the locks just got stuck. Won’t come back out. Next the seat pad is damn near impossible to install without the right Allen key. Which they don’t tell you that u need. Next it doesn’t 100% fit. Yes it works and it’s cheaper than Harley’s. But do yourself a favor and just bust out the $300 for Harley’s. This thing was a pain from start to finish.

It probably would have been a near perfect fit on my 09 Ultra Classic, if I was still using the stock shocks. My aftermarket ones had less spacing at the top and I was unable to use the protective plastic insert on the mount. This however didnt stop it from being mounted, once they were removed. The Brackets for the rear mount only had to be tweaked a small amount to make it fit properly. A small price to pay for the small price to pay$. Overall I would recommend.

Easy to assemble. You should be aware that instructions that come in the package don’t explain that you must first remove the 3 point bracket and slip the sissy bar in between the bracket and backseat. There are no prefilled holes on the sissy bar and they are not required.

I bought this from Amazon and the same brand hardware, not real happy with the poor workmanship on both products, you get what you pay for with cheap products.Cheers

Installation issues. A bug with installation but once figured out it went ok.

The price was right of course. The paint is not the shiny Vivid Black that the rest of my Road King Special stock parts are, but should improve with a little wax I hope. I had to use a rubber mallet to get it on because the plastic inserts on the front are very tight. I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be left on, but if they are not then the sissy bar is loose and rattles. I will probably thin the plastic pieces down a little when I take it off again. I will not keep this on the bike except when touring and strapping bags to it, so it is certainly functional for my needs and saves money.

I’m definitely skeptical when it comes to buying non-Harley parts from my Harley Davidson motorcycle. But instead of spending $500 or more, I ended up going this route and buying this back rest with the recommended docking hardware which I will also write a review for. It works perfectly when it’s on the bike And my wife absolutely loves it. The only flaw that I would say is it’s a bit tricky trying to take it off the motorcycle so I end up having to take one side off and then you have to almost pull the sissy bar to whatever side is still locked in and try to work out that locking system on that side of the bike to take it fully off. I’m not sure if maybe the docking hardware is slightly too short or maybe the sissy bar is a little too wide , but once it’s on the bike, it is very sturdy. I will be purchasing the Harley set up in the near future but this definitely gets me from point a to point B when I’m riding two up.
