Fast shipping, the part fits perfectly on my PDP floor tom but missing a mounting screw, and the package was damaged. The package looks old and faded. Not a discounted price so why? Perhaps better to purchase from Sweetwater instead next time. Sorry vendor, not very well done.

I want to preface this review with the following: I own a PDP kit and several PDP snares. I'm a massive fan of the PDP brand and all of the equipment I own that carries the PDP label has been top-notch. That being said, this particular piece was an absolute letdown. I got two of these tom mounts to replace the tom mount bracket on a set of RIMS mounts for an old Slingerland kit I own. I knew something was up when I got the first mount on and both Philips heads stripped out in the process. They went on tight but the head was incredibly damaged in the process. VERY cheap screws.Armed with that knowledge, I set on installing the second one. In an attempt to not put too much tension on one screw, I tightened one a little bit, then switched to the other, then back to the first, and so on until both were tight...at least that's how I should have been but about halfway through the process one screw head completely stripped out. Rather than cause more damage I decided to abandon the cheap screws altogether. The goal was to remove everything and go to the hardware store in the morning and find some good quality screws that fit the bill. After carefully removing the two screws on the first mount (and stripping them out more) and the bottom screw on the second one, I go to remove the last screw (I'd switched to a socket set at this point because the last screw was completely stripped) and as soon as I turned the screw I felt a pop and I knew exactly what had happened...sure enough, the screw snapped in half with a good half inch of the shaft till in the mount. This is where everything went south.I'm not a stranger to stripped-out screws and own a screw extractor kit. So I did what you do anytime you need to extract a screw: drill out the center of the broken piece, use the extractor to back out the broken part, and call it a day. I screwed out the center of the screw with no problem (again, cheap screws) but when I went to extract the screw, instead of biting into the screw as it should, the entire mount crumpled like it was made of plastic ruining the entire mount. The whole situation is disappointing and frustrating and a real smear on PDP's reputation for me. I still love them and their drums and I still think they're a great company but I absolutely not be buying any of their stand alone hardware or accessories if this is the kind of quality I can expect.

Used these to replace the 10mm leg brackets on my Ludwig 16" floor tom. I'm converting it to use as a bass drum in a jungle kit. These work with the 12.7mm legs I'll be using. Really cost effective replacement

And you can't remove the washer to try to ameliorate their design problem. I needed to replace the original mounting brackets for my DW Workshop Series kit's hardware. The screws that came with the original bracket would sit flush with suspension hoop that holds the drum lugs, these screws stick out a full .25" above an un-removable washer. So if your drum(s) rests against the suspension hoop it's finish will get scratched to S#!t in that spot unless you glue a little rubber bit on top of the screw heads for padding. I suspect these may be for suspension mounting systems that hold the drums by the lug nuts instead of being seated around the lugs themselves. That said, they are of solid quality. I'm no longer dealing with my drums starting to droop in the middle of songs regardless of how much I tighten them. These things don't give a millimeter! Their grip is very secure and my drums stay exactly where I put them even after hours of heavy handed bashing. I'd recommend them in pinch but having massive heads on the mounting screws is a bummer.

This is a really well made piece of drum hardware. I planned to make some V Drums so I bought a used tom and ripped it in half on a table saw to make two separate drums. I then mounted two of these brackets to the (now two) toms. I am impressed with the quality of these mounts especially when you factor in the price. They fit the drums well, are well made and hold the drums to the L-arms firmly. I highly recommend these mounts.

This bracket is not only well made but also looks exceptional. The finish is first rate and the chrome is smooth and deep. On top of that it clamps to the post extremely tightly with only moderate effort on the wing nut. This bracket does exactly what it is intended to do and looks great doing it. A truely first rate product! One thing to note is that it is designed to be used on a rim mount clamping bracket. In my case I bolted it directly to the drum shell. It works perfectly for this but the supplied screws are too short to reach through the wood shells. Not a big deal but just keep in mind that if you are going to bolt these dirctly to your wood shells you will need to make a quick trip to the hardware store.I like these so much I am going to order 3 more to use as floor tom leg mounts.
