This snare stand is super easy to place the drum exactly where you want. The ball mount is like the Tama Tom mount system. Only thing is if you accidentally lean on the drum with excess pressure it will move, cranking the handle down will help. But it's hard to crank it down that tight. Will see how it stands up. At the sale price its worth the risk. Update...it's a sturdy stand and has stayed where I set it.

The stand is sturdy. My snare isn't going anywhere. The tilt mechanism for the snare basket is a bit awkward. Having the ball joint his way is so different from other snare stands and it takes some getting used to if you also use stands with a more traditional snare basket tilt mechanism.

Two of my kids purchased this for my oldest son as a Christmas gift. The stand fits his drum and he really likes his new drum stand. He is happy with the gift.

This stand is replacing a 25 year old heavy duty Tama stand that I had and the quality seems to be up there. Love the ball joint on this, just hope it holds up.
