Nicely designed. However, the published weight of 1.5 lbs isn't correct. It is actually twice that weight, at close to 3 lbs. I can't see why a stacker needs to be so heavy - I'm not even sure that most cymbal stands would support it. It actually weighs more than most of my stands. I would only recommend it for players using the most ultra-heavy stands. It also came in terrible packaging that had been partially destroyed.

The quality is absolutely outstanding. A drummer had to engineer this. I'm impressed with all that went into this attachment. Now for the real review. The item is absolutely great. My review revolves around the packaging of my item. I picked this up from my porch in a soft, beat up plastic mailer. My awesome new drum part floating around in the bag all day not even in its original packaging making holes in the mailer from the adjustment wing nuts. (Awesome) Lucky to have it!!!!!!

Using it for several months and very happy with it. It's saving the space in small venues and allows to bring one stand less

I love this design for fit and adjustability. Helps keep stands and clamps to a minimum and puts the cymbal right where you need it...

First off, this is absolutely a first class piece of hardware. Could not be happier !On your existing cymbal stand is a wing nut that you remove to put your ride/crash cymbal on. If that bolt is about 5/16 in diameter then this hardware should fit. Older stands have a smaller diameter. The 5/16 in bolt is the only one this will work with.

Loved it so much I bought a 2nd one. The turn knobs are over-sized so you can crank the elbows tight with minimal pain. There’s that part that screws on to the existing stand, that part is interesting. First off, it’s removable from the arm, so that’s very handy when you want to change the bottom cymbal. So how do you keep the top cymbal to stay put without spinning around? Do you have to tighten it down so tight that the bottom cymbal is stiff? Easy, and no. There’s lug on the top of the connector that when you tighten it the lug pushes against the top of the bolt inside and as long as you crank it tight, the arm stays where you put it. I mean, I haven’t gigged with it, but so far neither has moved once in since installing.

I was really surprised how well designed and thought out this piece of gear is. Clearly it was designed by drummers who actually use these type of stackers on a drum set. Nice and heavy duty with good attention to detail such as including rubber o-rings on the gear ratchets, friction type fasteners using a standard lug head style nuts so you can really tighten the key points to prevent movement. A memory lock is also included. The best part is the threaded mount has a good amount of thread depth and a locking nut to ensure it stays securely mounted to the main cymbal stand. This immediately solved the problem I had with other stacker setups.Bottom line is it works. I have a 18" HHX Evo O-Zone crash stacked over a 19" Zildjian China Boy which is mounted on a Pearl boom arm to a Gibraltar Stealth rack and it's sturdy. It offer a good amount of adjustments to position the cymbal exactly where you need it. I've tried the Gibraltar boom stacker (could never get it mount securely) and the pricey DW Dogbone boom arm setup but neither works as well imo. Definitely worth considering if you in the market for a cymbal stacker.

The boom is the perfect size for a crash or effect cymbal (e.g. China) over a ride... Same modular, interchangeable setup as the rest of the Concept Series hardware, so you could also utilize this stacker to place an x-hat or auxilliary percussion over a cymbal (with the respective hardware add-ons, of course - sold separately). Also, I was wondering before ordering this what would keep the entire stacker from rotating out of place on the bottom cymbal; there is a drumkey operated bolt through the top of the knurled piece that threads onto the bottom cymbal tilter, and this bolt tightens against the bottom tilter bolt to maintain placement. Pretty ingenius design. This thing, like the rest of the Concept hardware, is well designed, rock solid, and full of options.
