You never know what you will get with inexpensive dies, sometimes the edges are not sharp enough to make a good cut or the embossing does not come through. I throw some straight in the trash. But these are very nice, the embossing is clear and they cut right through my metallic paper. Very happy with these.

They look great layered and shaded. One star off as they needed to have extra extra shimming to cut. (that's always a pain) Once they were cut it was easy to produce a nice image for an exchange with my crafting friends.

The die cuts cleanly and the bird shapes are really cute with quite a bit of detail. I've cut them out as black silhouettes, used slightly patterned paper (the green birds), and wildly patterned paper (the blue birds) for different effects. I suggest taping over the back of the eyes on the die so they just emboss instead of cutting out so you don't have to mess with filling in tiny eyes. It's easier to use a black posca pen over the embossed area to add detail than to try to fill in the eye area. These birds are easy to combine with leaves, vines, or nest cut-outs for really pretty results. Tip - do not separate the dies - just cut out an entire set of birds out at time so you don't have to fiddle with little pieces. You'll use them sooner or later in some project.
