As usual in Pearl hardware, this is an awesome accesory. I'm using it to attach my Roland SPD SX Pro to a boom stand and I can adjust the height and angle to my needs. It's also very robust.

Works just fine to expand my Octapad on a cymbal stand, adding extras like a Roland snare and hi hat. Solid construction with no give at all.

This is a beautiful clamp. It's sturdy and when clamped down it will stay put. The sweeping curve is elegant and functional. You can get things clamped in the perfect position.Only one downside is it does open as big as some other clamps. Pearl needs to add on longer threaded rods. If I want to clamp on the bottom section of a tom or snare stand, this won't open up wide enough to clamp on. I also own a Sound Percussion SPH06 and it opens much wider.I'm going to keep this and put it up where clamps end up showing out front. It looks more professional.

If you want to connect two pipe-like things together (and what drummer doesn't want to?), this is what you need. The spinners rotate in two axis (axiss?), so you can get most any angle you want. The spinners have teeth so once you tighten it down they can't rotate any more. The clamps tighten easily by hand (no drum key necessary) the body is cast metal and is strong (not sure what metal, maybe aluminum?). Get more then one. I also have the same thing by Gibralter, which is just as good. (sorry about spellling).
