These shorts are very comfortable. I have worn them in bike rides ranging from 15 to 40 miles and have been impressed. I realize that finding what is best is a very individual preference and I would encourage trying different brands. However, I would recommend trying these.

Nice shorts, now I look cool when I hang out with the other bikers that ride around my block and hang out at the bar. Oh, and these also look cool for people who ride racing bicycles...It's Pearl Izumi, so I can trust the brand and the fit since I own other Pearl gear. However, being new to the cycling scene, I wish someone would have told me that these were underwear and not cycling shorts.

5-10, 145ish, smallI’ve got PI shorts that I’ve had and worn for decades. They last. Putting these on made me realize two things: padding materials have come a long way since I last bought new shorts and perhaps my older ones have been so loved and used they’ve compressed over time. These shorts fit as nicely as my old ones but the padding is much thicker and therefore more comfortable while riding. Especially noticeable on long rides. I’m still a PI fan and these are worth the modest asking price. I’m confident they’ll last for many years and miles.

These are comfortable and fit as expected. Overall quality seems nice. Padding is sufficient. Moisture wicking was good under gym shorts.

These liner shorts are probably one of the better pairs I've tried. I have tried past Pearl Izumi liners, so I have something to compare it to. The materials are of high quality and construction. The fit is good with nice compression. The materials are mesh on the sides. This really helps regulate temps. I think these are about as thin as you can get for liners. These keep me stay cooler than the other liners I've tried. I haven't had any portions rip or tear. They stretch and move with your legs. The legs have grippers, and they work well. The liners didn't ride up. The waist stayed in place. The padding isn't terribly thick or dense, but it's still comfortable. I would say these would be good on most short to long rides.Overall, I really am enjoying these liners. I like to wear them with my MTB rides and, sometimes, when I commute. They are a fair price for what you're getting. PI stuff has been amazing this year and past. Usually, I'm extremely happy with their gear. These liners are another nice addition to their lineup.

I have been a moderate mountain and road biker for over 30 years. I have always enjoyed the Pearl Izumi brand and these Men's 8" Transfer Liner Shorts live up to my high expectations of the brand. These shorts, have a thick chamois for protection from your bike seat. I know this may feel a bit awkward walking around, but I prefer their superior protection while riding. My bicycle seat is small and hard and these shorts do very well protecting me.I have a similar designed Pearl Izumi bike shorts design for wearing out. These take that great design and make the side panels mesh for more breathability. They are great for wearing under a pair of MTB shorts, but I could see myself wearing these bike shorts by themselves on a very hot day while road biking. These PEARL IZUMI shorts make all your shorts good for biking.

These feel very odd. They are so thin on the sides which breaths, but the padding is such a contrast with the thickness and padding it accentuates how bulky and thick the padding is. Feels like you’re waddling a bit while walking around. It’s like having a heck of a wedgie.
